We booked this hotel as it was close to the golf club that we were attending a party at on Saturday night. The first room that we were allocated had a strong stale smell, so we requested another room. The room allocated was adequate but when showering the shower dial was so stiff that a towel had to be used... More

Was dreading staying here after reading the previous comments. Arrived Friday evening for two night stay after tedious journey. Given menu on arrival and half an hour later sat down to very good three course dinner. Excellent breakfasts too the following mornings. Considering a wedding party was already there, thought well looked after. Noise not a problem as room well... More

We stayed here for one night as part of tour with Travelstyle Tours (of whom least said the better). We were pleasantly surprised on arrival and more than delighted with our room and both dinner and breakfast. The leisure facilities were an added bonus. I can't praise these aspects of the hotel enough. So you are wondering - why only... More

My travel company was using this hotel for a 2 night stay on a trip to The Edinburgh Tattoo and before I left I was most concerned after reading all the negative reports on Trip Advisor. Well ok, it's a bit tired, it doesn't have a lift, but I really couldn't fault it. Our booked evening 3 course meal was... More

Decided to stay here for the wk end as we were attending a wedding here, very dated, tired and worn! Ran out of glasses and ice cubes on the first night and the staff had trouble working out the food and drinks bills. The highlight of our stay was finding a live newts head in my friends salad and the... More

On approach the hotel resembles a crematorium, although not aesthetically pleasing the hotel is built for purpose and has a multitude of non descript rooms along non descript corridors, its functional and suited for people staying for business purposes in the area, dont consider using it for a romantic getaway! I expected to meet Noddy Holder at reception ...it just feels soooo 70's!... More
