The room was pleasant but small, staff very helpful and friendly, but a little overpriced. Could do with a lounge, the only seaing in the bar area was dining tables except for stools at the bar. more

Enjoyable stay visiting friends in the vicinity but there seemed to be a premium for what was a reasonable hotel due to the proximity to the Dales for walking. We paid £85 for rack rate £110 and frankly £65-70 would be about right. (Two days before we had paid £85 for a great hotel in Wells (The Beryl) and this... more

A clean, comfortable, friendly small hotel and pub in a village near the North York Moors. The room was spotlessly clean and well appointed, and the breakfast was very good - with a fruit and cereal buffet, and cooked English breakfast both available. We booked thrugh lastminute.com and got a good discount on the normal room price (though lastminute promised... more
