The hotel looks tired from the outside,Reception staff are very helpful,The rooms have been refurbished in the last 2 years. However the bed in our room (4) was shocking. The mattress was as thin as a pieve of toast.Overall this is a 3 star hotel and fair value for the money its a clean hotel.

It has been at least 10 years since I last stayed here, what a change, it has had a complete high quality makeover. Whole experience from friendly check in to breakfast and checkout (not forgetting the quality nights sleep and the powerful shower) was good. I have no hesitation, as someone who spends a lot of nights in hotels, in... More

Please do not ignore the reviews of other trip advisers - I chose to ignore the comments and truly regretted it : ( The downstairs Pub looks great and modern, but the accommodation leaves much to be desired! Bathroom with no working blind and clear glass windows looking directly onto the park and car park. Spider on the bathroom blind,... More

The hotel needs a bit of TLC, but is liveable in. The bed was comfortable, but had a winter duvet on it in July. There were loose floor tiles in the bathroom, the shower door leaked onto the floor, and the fan was louder than a helicopter. The worst point is the Hungry Horse eatery attached to the hotel. It... Upon arrival we were told we had been upgraded to a 'premium room'...thank goodness because I can only assume the step down would be a damp cellar. The walls are paper thin, I got woken up by neighbouring rooms flushing toilets all night, and once by a sneeze! Any soundproofing is needed. The blinds are broken, the springs in the... More
