The hotel is pretty average although don't expect anybody to be manning the reception when you arrive, just go straight to the bar and ask. (A sign to that affect might stop people waiting there for 10 minutes) The room was pretty out dated and a bit noisy from the pub car park but no noise from the pub itself.... More

I was surprised when pulling up to see the hotel is actually a hungry horse pub. The reception is tucked around a corner in the main pub. Check in was easy and shown to my room. BUT YOU CAN'T ESCAPE THIS IS A ROOM ABOVE A PUB. My room was directly above the main door meaning noise until after 11pm... More

I had a 2 night stay in this hotel and it was ideal for me has for being alone. the room was good with a bath and plenty of very hot water. with this being more of a pub than hotel meals were just for my liking with loads of great offers on every day ( hungry horse chain look... More

Stayed here recently for the second time and again it was a pleasant stay. Greeted at reception, shown to my room, advised on meal times. The room was large and comfortable. The hotel is above a Hungry Horse pub and the food is relatively cheap and of a decent quality. I would be quite happy to stay here again.

I stayed in the hotel for a month, the staff were brilliant, the food was great and it was like a home away from home. The staff were really accommodating, always willing to assist with recommendations on places to go and to make changes to food orders etc. The hotel manager Ron was a really great guy and down to... Stayed here for one night in Feb 15. I was given a ground floor room, overlooking the car park. This did mean I had a bit of noise at 'throwing out' time, but not too much. I say 'throwing ou' time, because this hotel is attached to (above/alongside) a Hungry Horse restaurant/pub. It was nottoo rowdy though and the food... More

The hotel is above a pub, which I wasn't expecting, the pub itself seemed lively and friendly, but it was incredibly loud and I could hear the music from my room. The room itself was ok, quite a good size and all of the usual amenities. Unfortunately the radiator was broken in my room, the windows are single pane and... More

The hotel room was located out the back of the Hungry Horse restaurant. We had to carry our luggage past people eating dinner. The room wasn't too noisy and was nice (with good facilities except the shower which was hard to not get burnt by) but as the wind picked up the metal gate to the bin store started banging... More
