The place was well located, staff were friendly and it was clean and tidy. That's the positives of the place, but after two nights I couldn't help but feel the stay could have been more comfortable. I had a room in the basement beside the hall way for the lifts. The fire doors were loosely hinged so every inconsiderate guest... More

The apartment had everything that we needed - decent sized bed, convenient location, good transport links, fridge. If you are, however, looking for luxury or something truly "executive" then this is not the place for you. Rooms are small and basic, the self-catering facilities would not serve to cook much more than a very simple meal and the street outside... More

Great location, decent rooms, half-decent cleanliness. However, we were extremely disappointed by this place. Our assigned room, a smallish studio, did not correspond at all with the "Medium Luxury Suite" that we had reserved five months earlier. We were assigned a rather dark room with no wall posters/photos, no chairs and no cut flowers, as opposed to the website presentation.... More

We have just returned from a 4 day break in London. I travelled with my husband, daughter and my daughter's friend (both 16 years old.) We booked 2 "executive" apartments so we could prepare our own breakfast and keep drinks chilled etc. Location wise, you can't fault it. It's a street away from Queensway tube on the central line or... More

We saw these apartments listed on booking.com and so decided to book here without any previous knowledge of the property. I was slightly sceptical before arriving as had read some indifferent reviews but to be honest we enjoyed our stay. Good points: easy access to central London, Queensway tube 5 mins, plenty of buses and as we came into Paddington... More

Up until our last night night at the apartments, we stayed for three nights in total, we were relatively happy with everything. Especially location, it's perfect for tube access and the night bus was so easy from Oxford Circus. Unfortunately, we arrived back on our last night to see something crawling between our shoes. On further inspection, it was a... More

After booking this on last minute.com as a secret hotel I then read the reviews and tried to cancel! But I shouldn't have worried. OK, its not luxurious and the room was fairly small without good views ( back of the third floor) and no free coffee or a hairdryer BUT it was clean, great location near park and tube... More

We booked this through last minute.com that stated it was 4 star accommodation. It isn't at all. But It is a great base in the middle of London. Our room was on the 3rd floor and was small, but we weren't in it long enough to care. It was clean and had a fridge, microwave, toaster, kettle, ironing board and... More

These appts were extremely good value and central location for our girlie theatre trip to London, but expect what you pay for. The rooms may say "Executive" but they are pretty standard. Needless to say, our room had 2 double beds in for 2 people and was of contemporary décor and was very clean. The room had quite a few... More

Booked via LateRooms whom I will be contacting as this is as far from executive as it is possible to get. It's like comparing Lambrini against champagne and they should be sued under Trade Descriptions (this place not Lambrini!!). No wifi, two bulbs out of three out in the bathroom were blown, a double bed pushed in the corner which... More

Staying in Notting Hill

Neighborhood Profile
Notting Hill
As West London's friskiest corner, Notting Hill more than manages to retain plenty of the same appeal that's brought the affluent area so much worldwide attention. In this attractive cobblestoned neighborhood, a delectable variety of eateries, independent shops, galleries and street vendors offer a delightful window into how to live the good life in London, with each presenting visitors with an experience that's a little more idiosyncratic and endearing than the last. Travelers looking to forage for antiques should be sure to visit the Portobello Road Market on Saturdays, the largest antiques market in the United Kingdom.
