The RE is no doubt modern and quite nice but it has some heavy obstacles against it. First and foremost the location is not great ... while it says it's a Shoreditch hotel, it's quite a walk, and not a pleasant walk, to the best parts of Shoreditch. Luckily there is a bus that stops in front that takes you... More

We stayed here to visit a concert at Oslo in Hackney. The hotel is perfect location for this venue as well as Hackney Empire due to regular and fast buses. However, the hotel is not somewhere I would recommend to stay in if you want to be situated near to the traditional tourist sites. Although the hotel is called 'Shoreditch',... More

First time in this hotel. A bit like a Hilton Garden hotel. Good comfortable rooms with tea/coffee, bath and shower. Good air conditioning. Breakfast was fine. Looks recently refurbished. Would recommend it at the price. 10 mins walk from pubs, restaurants etc. easy access to the rest of London. Well done RE!

A very dark lobby, impersonal and that 'atmosphere' continues in the room. Ours was smelly and not aired for a long time. The lighting is terrible, the large once too bright to leave on all evening, the reading light made it impossible to read. We left our luggage a in the lasts day in a room which people could enter... The location is not great, it is a pain to get to and also from. Our issues were the Taxi company which the Hotel continue to use regardless of complaints and also the Restaurants staff inability to understand the Allergen laws in the UK.

Nice hotel, not the best area but no disruptions. Nice bar and restaurant which are very reasonably priced for London. Only gripe, as soon as you leave the room, the key card seems to wipe itself. Quite annoying having to go back and forth. But, overall. A nice medium budget hotel.

I've stayed here before and although the hotel has maintained its good standards, the surrounding area is as rough as ever; not somewhere to wander alone at night, if I might be so bold. Convenient for Cambridge Heath railway station and the buses, it's a little off the beaten track in terms of walking to pubs, restaurants etc, but the... More

I've stayed at RE twice, and can recommend it. It was a hot sticky day outside but the room was lovely and cool. Although on a busy road, it was also beautifully quiet. I used the underground car park which has an exciting car lift to access it. I didn't eat there but had a drink at the bar which... More

I stayed at this hotel on business this week and found it to be well located and well priced. The room was modern and clean and the staff attentive. The only issue some may have is with the lively location, Bethnal Green is no Knightsbridge but as an ex-Londoner I was fine with it. Check out the Corner Room restaurant... More
