We had a terrible experience staying in the hotel. At 3.30 am in the morning a a loud drunk couple checked in in the room next to us ( rooms are poorly sound proof plaster walls) we called several times to reception. No action was taken when we complained the staff were rude and careless. Place to avoid

Stayed last night in one of their triple rooms. Very clean, tidy and the beds incredibly comfy, had a great nights sleep. The hotel was quiet too which is a bonus for London. Breakfast was good, nothing excessive but exactly as advertised,we were presented with a basket of fresh warm pastries and tea was brought out fresh too. The staff are friendly and... More

The area is great, but the hotel is on a very busy road and there is no air-conditoining which means that you're either too hot or there's too much noise to sleep. The room proportions are quite mean for the price (you have to climb over the bed to get to the other side). The 'continental breakfast' is poor. The... More

The best thing about this hotel is its location. There is a bus stop just a few steps away from the entrance, and the nearest Tube station is about a block away. In other words, really easy to get around when staying at this hotel! The hotel has pretty narrow halls and stairs, but the staff were both polite and... More

This is a basic hotel with not such a basic price tag ! The Hotel was clean but the rooms are small I would not stay here again. The hotel is in a good area to visit landmarks, museums and there are lots of restaurants to choose from.

Great location; clean rooms and nice staff..breakfast can be improved but it was always fresh. very central and close to west london and oxford street. Highly recommended. You can go on foot but buses are always available and underground nearby too

My boyfriend and I stayed at the Gower House hotel during our time in London. It was wonderful. Very charming, and in a great location. The staff was courteous, helpful, and friendly. I will definitely stay here again when I return.

This hotel is in an ideal location as Oxford Street, Regent Street etc are all within walking distance. The British Museum is just a few streets away. For those wishing to travel further there are several busses which stop just across the street and Goodge Street tube station is. 5-minute walk away. We stayed in room 15 on the third... More

Great location, 20 minute walk from St Pancras International. Small room but clean and tidy. It is located within 10-20 minute walk to lots of the theatres and places to eat. I chose it for this reason. Staff friendly and welcoming. Definitely stay here again.

Chose this hotel due to the proximity to the theatres in the West End. The location is fab...a 5-10 min walk. The room was small but clean and served its purpose well. Breakfast was poor...I didn't expect a cooked breakfast but what was on offer was pretty dismal. It's the location which makes this lovely little hotel.

Staying in Bloomsbury

Neighborhood Profile
Bloomsbury
Snuggly nestled within Central London is academic and leafy Bloomsbury, an area that boasts walking distance access to many of London's most popular attractions. It is also home to some of Britain's most celebrated museums, including the must-see British Museum. Despite an understandable popularity with students, tourists and day trippers, vast sections of Bloomsbury retain a quiet, residential feel year round and throughout the week.
