This hotel is in an ideal location as Oxford Street, Regent Street etc are all within walking distance. The British Museum is just a few streets away. For those wishing to travel further there are several busses which stop just across the street and Goodge Street tube station is. 5-minute walk away. We stayed in room 15 on the third... More

Great location, 20 minute walk from St Pancras International. Small room but clean and tidy. It is located within 10-20 minute walk to lots of the theatres and places to eat. I chose it for this reason. Staff friendly and welcoming. Definitely stay here again.

Chose this hotel due to the proximity to the theatres in the West End. The location is fab...a 5-10 min walk. The room was small but clean and served its purpose well. Breakfast was poor...I didn't expect a cooked breakfast but what was on offer was pretty dismal. It's the location which makes this lovely little hotel.

This was just a great B&B, great location, even better staff, I can not say enough about this place. We could have stayed in the best hotels in London, we can afford it, but we just want a base to explore and spend money on us and at night its a bed, but its a good bed there. I wanted... More

The Gower House Hotel is ideal for travellers who are in London for a few days or couples who need a bed to sleep in. It is located on Gower Street and is 5 minutes away from London Underground's 'Goodge Street' station. The rooms were clean and the interior was very nice. Only issue we had that there was lack... This hotel has a great location in a nice area and close to everyhting we could need, convenient shops, restaurants, transport (nearest stations are Goodge Street and Tottenham Court Road just a couple of minutes walking). The room decoration was a bit oldish but the room and bathroom were very clean. The mattress was quite used but ok. We had... More

The hotel certainly has a good location. It is located in a row of lovely, old houses (many of which are hotels). It is fairly close to Euston and St Pancras stations. My room was very small, though modern and clean. There were a number of negatives. The public areas were worn and drab. The staff I met were efficient... More

My wife and I stayed at this hotel for two nights while she was on a course. whilst the room was adequate, I found the room small in comparison to much cheaper hotels I have stayed in. The bathroom was very clean and well decorated. The stair carpets are looking very threadbare and in need of replacing. The continental breakfast... More

Rooms up to spec with air con and well decorated; staff helpful and cheerful; breakfast croissants and corn flakes etc. and toast adequate. Rates ok for Bloomsbury I suppose. Went with grandchild and she was well impressed!

Staying in Bloomsbury

Neighborhood Profile
Snuggly nestled within Central London is academic and leafy Bloomsbury, an area that boasts walking distance access to many of London's most popular attractions. It is also home to some of Britain's most celebrated museums, including the must-see British Museum. Despite an understandable popularity with students, tourists and day trippers, vast sections of Bloomsbury retain a quiet, residential feel year round and throughout the week.
