Starting with check in. It was so disjointed, being met by staff with Ipad/tablets and taking you off to a desk. It just felt so uncomfortable. Couldn't see how it adds value to your experience. We arrived as a group and it was confusing. The toilets. They're just not clever! In public space toilets you have to shut the lid... More

Though I normally stay at Hyatts for business - this was my first experience with the Andaz boutique brand of Hyatt. From the second I walked into the hotel.. I felt like i was being welcomed like an old friend.. and not a first time visitor. The lobby (sleek and modern) is definitely a contrast to the buildings exterior. The... More

What a wonderful hotel! The warmest welcome I have received of which set the pattern for our short stay. Rooms excellent, the decor very stylish & a wonderful breakfast in the 1901 restaurant. Will certainly be returning.

We booked here last minute and we were absolutely delighted and the service, location, rooms and especially the staff. The welcome was friendly, check in was quick and we were shown around our room. Valentina who showed us around was friendly and professional. Couldn't fault her. They have wine and canapés in the lounge around six which was a lovely... More

We stayed at the Andaz for a couple of nights last month and were impressed by the hotel itself which feels fresh modern and comfortable. However what blew us away was the quality of the staff, they were excellent: without exception genuinely helpful and friendly and efficient, we always felt welcome. As an example within 30 seconds of arriving we... More

The Hyatt Andaz is a true symbol of simple luxury for the tastes of modern travelers. It's a light, trendy and luxurious hotel in a great location. Just 5 minutes away (by foot) from the Liverpool station from where you can have easy access to all airports and any other key points in London. The service is exceptional, friendly and... More

This was my fourth visit. I just love this hotel. It more then I normally pay and ony within my budget on a Friday and Saturday night but well worth the extra. The whole ambience of the hotel is great and all the staff are so friendly and helpful. I had booked a single room but was upgraded to a... More

If you want a hotel in the City of London, the location doesn't get better than this. The rooms are modern, well equipped and the bathrooms have very nice fluffy towels. Staff are attentive. The only thing that I don't like are the scented candles in the lobby. Unneccessary and, well, just smelly!

I just enjoyed a 3-night stay at the Andaz on Liverpool Street. The location was convenient for business in the City and Canary Wharf, and having the Liverpool Street station next door makes it easy to get to other points. I would happily stay there again for business or for fun - a lot of the hotels in the City... More

Loved this place. It's a standout from most London hotels, with remarkable extras which just add so much to the place. Overall luxury is pretty boss. I found it great that they gave freebies as well as canapes every evening. The staff are pretty incredible, and went out of their way to sort out some errands (for free) before I... More

Staying in City of London

Neighborhood Profile
City of London
From its ancient past as a Roman trading outpost to its 21st century status as the wealthiest square mile in the world, the financial district known simply as “The City” is one of London's most historic and fascinating neighborhoods. Here high rise office towers such as Norman Foster’s Gherkin mingle with Roman ruins and architectural marvels from virtually every era in between, including Christopher Wren's glorious St.Paul's Cathedral, and John Soane's dauntingly classicist Bank of England. This neighborhood is also home to some of the finest restaurants and plushest hotels in Europe, in addition to an assortment of of watering holes, upscale shops, and Tube stations. During the week, the City is abuzz with white collar workers going about their business; the weekend sees this area turn into a quiet haven for sightseers.
