Although I’m a dedicated Starwood fan, I chose Andaz Liverpool Street London for a weekend jaunt in London in order to take advantage of its location and to finally get a taste of the Andaz brand. LOCATION: The Andaz is located directly next to Liverpool Street Station and is itself a renovation of the historic Great Eastern Hotel, a grand... More

So, the lobby and the gentlemen working there were the best part of this hotel. The rooms themselves were nice, clean and kind of sedate. The fine people working at this hotel were really wonderful, and helped us in SO many ways.

I flew in from the US that morning and they were very accommodating to get me a room as quickly as possible so that I could nap. I was very pleased with my stay there from the complimentary espresso to the convenience of the restaurants in the hotel. They also had a great gym there as well. The location was... More

An excellent hotel with appreciated extras like unlimited soft drinks from the lobby. Staff are smooth, professional and stylish, as is the hotel. Great open spaces for general guest use. Lovely breakfast.

Andaz on Liverpool Street is 5 minutes walk to Liverpool station,10 minutes walk to Spitafield markets, 10 minutes from London's financial district. Andaz is the boutique arm of Hyatt. Hyatt has always been known for their breakfast, so after a good sleep,a decent breakfast is the order of the day. Andaz has done away with the check in counter, going... More

We stayed for 2 nights at the beginning of July on a Friday and Saturday night. We arrived in the late afternoon after a long 31 hour journey from New Zealand and although tired the moment we stepped out of the limousine the energy and enthusiasm from the staff lifted our lagging spirits and the Andaz experience began. The facilities... More

This is my go-to hotel for business in London. Brilliantly convenient on top of Liverpool Street station. Efficient check in. Good sized and functionally appointed rooms (ask for one in the old section). Such a pleasure to have free drinks and snacks in the room, avoiding the usual gouge. There's a hip and relaxed vibe without the usual fuss of... More

My wife and I stayed her for four nights on our anniversary trip to England. The hotel is absolutely beautiful and in a wonderful, active location. We would definitely stay here again. Be sure to try to on-site restaurants. They are delightful!

I really like this place. Welcomed again at the door and the room was ready early - always a bonus when you have a theatre matinee. Room was spacious and comfortable with complimentary soft drinks. The staff are friendly and the hotel has so much space you feel you are in the tardis. A free pre dinner glass of wine... More

Staying in City of London

Neighborhood Profile
City of London
From its ancient past as a Roman trading outpost to its 21st century status as the wealthiest square mile in the world, the financial district known simply as “The City” is one of London's most historic and fascinating neighborhoods. Here high rise office towers such as Norman Foster’s Gherkin mingle with Roman ruins and architectural marvels from virtually every era in between, including Christopher Wren's glorious St.Paul's Cathedral, and John Soane's dauntingly classicist Bank of England. This neighborhood is also home to some of the finest restaurants and plushest hotels in Europe, in addition to an assortment of watering holes, upscale shops, and Tube stations. During the week, the City is abuzz with white collar workers going about their business; the weekend sees this area turn into a quiet haven for sightseers.
