Doesn't even deserve 1 star. We check in 24th November for two nights. PAYMENT was made in full in September. Don't know really were to start. the hotel was under new management when we arrived and to our horror there wasn't a room allocated for us. ( luckily I had printed the booking confirmation even though the receptionist didn't believe... More

Room was small but it was comfy. Just might need to check with the shower water knobs as the cold water doesn't work well. So water could be too hot for me & my mom (Room 606). I love the mini breakfast setup. The other plus point wold be location is near to tube & food, easy for muslims travellers... More

I booked this hotel through booking.com. I am a travel photographer, I travel a great deal all over the world. I use both the trip advisor and booking.com frequently. I am writing this review in the hopes of saving some of you from ever having the terrible experience that I had at this rat trap of a hotel.

Two of us stayed for two nights. Yes the room is small and some things could have been better but for the price and the location we thought it was great! We had no issues with any of the staff, we found them pleasant and helpful. Free wifi was great and having a fridge in the room meant we could... More

This is undoubtedly one of the poorest hotels I have stayed in. When we checked in, the desk clerk stated my signature did not match the signature on my drivers license - even though my face matches the picture! The room was small and the bathroom was even tinier. There is a kitchenette in the room but no frying pan.... More

Rooms tiny, staff the rudest if ever come across, when checking out receptionist never even lifted head to say thanks or good bye, rooms we booked not available on arival, even though booked months in advance. Told rooms given on first come basis, by rude receptionist. Only thing good is location. Very convenient.

I did tons of reviews and this placed had mixed reviews but the pictures looked great so we took our chances... we shouldn't have. Since we had prepaid, we were stuck in staying at this location. Arrival- We arrived and the young lady at the first desk seemed annoyed that we had to get her off the phone from her... More

My stay at So Hyde Park was nothing less than fantastic!!…The people there were friendly and helpful….I was traveling solo….and I felt very safe there!:)…The amenities were very nice….practical and clean….the location is amazing…just a few blocks from many stores….restaurants….the underground train…and public transportation is everywhere and very accessible ..it's in the Westminster area..…like the double decker buses….and taxis of... Location is great, there is no doubt about it, with a short walk to Bayswater and Queensway stations; Hyde Park being nearby. 3 museums (Science, History and V&A) are really close as well, within walkable distance for some. Westfield Shepherd's Bush is relatively walkable too (30-35 minutes), but its much easier to take 31 bus/tube. The downsides are: tinyworn out... More

This is by far the worst hotel. Do not book it. Beware of the stringent cancellation policy. (I may have overlooked it but I do not remember agreeing to a non-refundable booking). There is an abundance of black mold in our shower. I asked the front desk on 4 occasions to clean it. Nothing has happened. The floors are disgusting.... More

Staying in Notting Hill

Neighborhood Profile
Notting Hill
As West London's friskiest corner, Notting Hill more than manages to retain plenty of the same appeal that's brought the affluent area so much worldwide attention. In this attractive cobblestoned neighborhood, a delectable variety of eateries, independent shops, galleries and street vendors offer a delightful window into how to live the good life in London, with each presenting visitors with an experience that's a little more idiosyncratic and endearing than the last. Travelers looking to forage for antiques should be sure to visit the Portobello Road Market on Saturdays, the largest antiques market in the United Kingdom.
