Moving back to London, I stayed there for quite a while. The apartment was spacious, quiet and clean. The staff (Dominic, Prashana, Lily, Shiva) pleasant and very helpful. The location was also very convenient, close to Hyde Park, to the tube station and the neighbourhood is full of restaurants and cosy cafés. Whether you are on vacation or on a... More

Hotel is within walking distance of two tube stations (Queensway, Bayswater), Hyde Park & plenty of shops and restaurants. So much for the good part. The hotel has no elevator and of course I was situated on the top / 4th floor. Quite a walk up after breakfast and a long day out and about. But the worst part were... More

The room was cheap and cheerful, we were there two nights, 1st night very noisy, but there's not a lot the hotel can do about that. Toilet was clean, but the shower was filthy, I bought wipes to clean the bathroom before we used it. Bed linen clean and fresh. Advertised microwave, but none in room, cooking rings, but no... More

I would have given this a 3.5 star - but I can't! This hotel is in a great spot, and for the price is pretty reasonable. It's a no fluff kind of place, and my room was quite small. But for a few nights it's fine. It's a short walk to Nottiing hill and Portobello and Westbourn Grove (1 min... More

Brunette lady in office wear at the front desk was outstanding as she was the ONLY helpful & friendly one. Housekeeping was polite and helpful as well. Did a good job too! Nice antique exterior, but that's about it. The interior isn't great. Location is OK. HORRIBLE FRONT DESK STAFF. Fat guy at the front desk is very rude and... More

positives first-cleanish, air con worked and was quiet, staff friendly, car park on site, excellent location. What wasn't good- bed hard as a rock, Might as well have slept on the floor. Sounds from the room above kept us awake, very small room for 2 people, not suitable really. Net curtains were filthy. I think the room was advertised as... More

Staying in Notting Hill

Neighborhood Profile
Notting Hill
As West London's friskiest corner, Notting Hill more than manages to retain plenty of the same appeal that's brought the affluent area so much worldwide attention. In this attractive cobblestoned neighborhood, a delectable variety of eateries, independent shops, galleries and street vendors offer a delightful window into how to live the good life in London, with each presenting visitors with an experience that's a little more idiosyncratic and endearing than the last. Travelers looking to forage for antiques should be sure to visit the Portobello Road Market on Saturdays, the largest antiques market in the United Kingdom.
