We stayed in this hotel recently and to be honest it was terrible. The price was good and the location was excellent with 2 tube stops a reasonable walking distance away. However first impressions were not great. the reception was little more than a desk with filthy walls, ripped furniture and missing equipment, the curtains/ blinds were also dirty and... More

I booked this for a City Break with my Mother. Location is quite well as also the Price is, but rooms are too small for a Double Room, specially if you asure to be an Apartment Building. Clean, and Average was good, but too small for 2 Adults

Good hotel for a short stay. We chose this room for the kitchenette - no microwave or toaster (as advertised) which was disappointing and difficult staying here for 1 week. Rooms were really tight with 2 large suitcases (had to climb over bed to get around room). Clean and good location - short walk from tube (Queensway and Bayswater).

Another of London's famous Victorian/Edwardian mausoleums converted into odd shaped hotel rooms. A mixture of highly polished granite stairway and creaking floor boards. The double occupancy bedroom was generous in space including a lower level (old emergency exit?) kitchenette. The bathroom was so small you almost had to back out to turn around. The staff were pleasant but not entirely... More

I stayed here for 4 nights and it was one of the cheapest options i found online for about 280 Euros for the 4 days and with that breakfast is not included but theres a small kitchen in the rooms with a fridge, small cooking area and utensils, water boiler and they stock up on tea and coffee bags daily... For the price and location this hotel was a great fine. Within minutes walk of two major underground stations, a lot of restaurants and business in the area. Only downside is that the bathroom in the hotel was really small and made it hard to move around.

Rooms were tiny and there wasn't much space to move around. However bedroom and bathroom were both clean and modernly furnished. Location was good - just a short walk to to the tube station. Only let-down was that there was no WiFi connection. Would not mind to visit again.

I stayed here overnight as I was going out and didn't want to get the last train out of London to go home. As such, it was only ever supposed to be a place to lay my weary head and then shower in the morning. The SO Hyde Park is located in a quiet area of Kensington, only about 5... More

This was a last minute deal. We booked the hotel the very same day of our arrival and were even able to check-in couple of hours before the official check-in time. The room, although small as any other hotel room in London, was clean, comfy and with nice view. Location couldn´t be better as it is situated between two tube... More

Staying in Notting Hill

Neighborhood Profile
Notting Hill
As West London's friskiest corner, Notting Hill more than manages to retain plenty of the same appeal that's brought the affluent area so much worldwide attention. In this attractive cobblestoned neighborhood, a delectable variety of eateries, independent shops, galleries and street vendors offer a delightful window into how to live the good life in London, with each presenting visitors with an experience that's a little more idiosyncratic and endearing than the last. Travelers looking to forage for antiques should be sure to visit the Portobello Road Market on Saturdays, the largest antiques market in the United Kingdom.
