I stayed here overnight as I was going out and didn't want to get the last train out of London to go home. As such, it was only ever supposed to be a place to lay my weary head and then shower in the morning. The SO Hyde Park is located in a quiet area of Kensington, only about 5... More

This was a last minute deal. We booked the hotel the very same day of our arrival and were even able to check-in couple of hours before the official check-in time. The room, although small as any other hotel room in London, was clean, comfy and with nice view. Location couldn´t be better as it is situated between two tube... More

I stayed here for two nights and can only find two faults. The hotel has a great location on a quiet street. Hyde park and Bayswater station are both a 5 minute walk away with tonnes of restaurants around including a small tescos. To get to the main attractions in London, you can either catch the underground or take a... More

This hotel was a bargin for one night stay in central London. Ignore the horrible reviews. It was comfy and clean. Also the parking was fantastic and very cheap and helpful. Would stay again for a cheap n cheerful stay

+ The hostess at the reception was very friendly and helped us out with printing tickets -WiFi not working properly (or just not working) during our stay -Dirty bathroom Very thin walls, you could hear very loud and clear what was happening in the hallway (all the time..) I guess it was okay for the price we paid but still... More

It is advertised that they have free WiFi which wasn't the case. the internet was down the whole time and they said it's normal for them. Location is excellent. Mall is around the corner and lots of great food places. Didn't like the shower at all. Turning on the faucet will give you a shower if the doors aren't closed.... More

Stayed here on the 12th of November, room was large and clean, toilet way too high in 5ft2 had to climb onto it and have my legs dangle, not very comfy! Bed was hard, and the coffee table was missing some corners making it sharp and dangerous, no shampoo or shower gel in bathroom, kitchenette was a small shaky cupboard... More

Tiny rooms but at this price its not bad. I travel to London so often that its like my second home. Hotel rooms in London are pretty small everywhere. Receptionist was very helpful. I have already booked my next stay at this hotel. If you are big you might struggle to fit into the bathroom. Its small.

No ramp or help to lug your suitcase, No storage, No Soap or Shampoo in the bathroom, no place to shower, no place to keep luggage, Kettle does not work, No Sugar, Cofee --- nothing. Did not accept Amex Card though booking.com assured that this place would accept Credit card. I had to force the half Arabic half English speaking... More

We booked here for 5 nights while we were looking for an apartment in London. We booked a double room which felt very small and cramped but that's probably just London and turned out to be the least of our worries. There was limescale and dirt all over the doors and around the base of the shower. The rooms are... More

Staying in Notting Hill

Neighborhood Profile
Notting Hill
As West London's friskiest corner, Notting Hill more than manages to retain plenty of the same appeal that's brought the affluent area so much worldwide attention. In this attractive cobblestoned neighborhood, a delectable variety of eateries, independent shops, galleries and street vendors offer a delightful window into how to live the good life in London, with each presenting visitors with an experience that's a little more idiosyncratic and endearing than the last. Travelers looking to forage for antiques should be sure to visit the Portobello Road Market on Saturdays, the largest antiques market in the United Kingdom.
