Pros: One of the better hotels in Stratford area and definitely better than the numerous 3 star 'lodges' in the area. Walking distance to station/tube. Good English breakfast. Quiet. Good parking. Comfortable rooms. Excellent access to Excel Convention Centre (10 min by DLR). Can easily recommend it to business travelers. Cons: Nothing. Apart from having very small rooms but that.

The Railway Tavern is advertised as 4 star but is more like 3 star. We recently stayed for 2 nignts and although the staff were freindly and the food good the room was disappointing. The rooms need a good makeover to come upto 4 star standard. The toilet roll holder was hanging off the wall. The plug in the handbasin... More

Had two wonderful nights at the Railway Tavern, stopping over for business. It is extremely convenient for all Stratford's amenities, rail links, West Field et al, has wonderfully appointed rooms and a lively welcoming pub downstairs. But by far the greatest highlight is the staff and owners who are ever-smiley, mega-helpful, who truly make you feel welcome and for whom... More

Was a lovely evening spent with a friend, music and drinks superb. I think it is the last real english traditional pub in the area. The band lead us to dance and was really a lovely atmosphere. Hope to visit again soon.

I have stayed at the tavern for a few nights and i was extremely pleased with my choice. The pub and hotel are really nice and in a perfect location, the rooms are spotlessly clean and comfortable and breakfast is truly excellent.... Four days at tavern:tipical old house with pub downstairs. Good live music and beers, small clean room, wonderful homemade breakfast, nice and friendly people, near the station and the underground, easy to find. We hope to return to this bed and breakfast.

Our family's three very pleasant nights at The Railway Tavern Inn were a highlight of our first trip to London. The inn is immaculately clean and well-maintained, and the staff is to a person friendly, helpful and accommodating. The breakfasts are simple, but delicious, and even if you opt for something other than the traditional "Full English", you'll start your... More
