My Miss and I stayed at Travelodge couple weeks ago. Upon arrival, we were checked in by a very well mannered receptionist. Upon check out he happened to be the one again. First I will say that Reg is the man. Very accomodating, lively and actually really funny. The rooms were spotless and the area was just great. We can... More

This was our second visit to London and we wanted to be able to mostly walk around London. We researched hotels and this came up as the most reasonable cost. There were lots more close to the centre but too pricey - we were staying for a week. On arrival we checked in without a problem. Both very tired from... More

Nice rooms, great location, very friendly staff and good breakfast. Unfortunately we had a room (110) just above the local bar/disco which was very noicy till late. The room was a bit too warm and it was difficult to air the room out. But all in all it was allright and again it was good value for the money you... More

My husband and I stayed here for one night. Easy access for central London and West End theatres. Reception staff are friendly, helpful and professional. Rooms are clean with comfortable beds. Breakfast was good and plentiful. The Only complaint would be that the lifts are very slow and staircase difficult to find.

Got there to a huge queue at check-in. Room was small, bathroom was small with no extractor fans in it and the tv was small. The whole hotel was too cramped and had a poor layout. The weren't helpful and the lift service was poor.

I travel more than most people and have stayed at many hotels in London --both good ones and bad ones. This Travelodge is the worst hotel i have ever stayed at and I challenge any hotel to take away it's claim. The rooms have no air conditioning, unreliable internet with no high-speed option and only 30 minutes of free internet.... More

A very clean room and comfortable bed. Overall very basic but for central London this is reasonable value for money and a great location. My biggest criticism was no hairdryer in the room. I asked reception if I could borrow one and and iron. I was told I could have both for an hour. I collected them from reception (hairdryer,... More

Booked 2 rooms for a3 night stay in London with 2 of my daughters. Great price for central London and more central than itseemed - not far from St. Paul's. Comfortable and clean but obviously fairly basic. Staff friendly - even offered to let us switch the early check in we paid for but didn't use for a late check... More

We had 2 rooms booked for a stay on 29th March. Hotel is easily accessible from Moorgate Tube Station which is less than a 10 minute walk with children and luggage. We were about 45 mins early for check in and were advised we could pay a fee to check in early. The children were overly excited so we asked... More

Staying in Shoreditch

Neighborhood Profile
Shoreditch
The western front of the edgy East End, Shoreditch is a perennially trendy haven for anything “street” – be it art, food, or fashion. With its handful of well connected transportation links dotting its perimeter, along with an ever increasing variety of shops, hotels, bars, and restaurants, it's easy to explore this trend-conscious and youth-oriented neighborhood. There's a lingering post-industrial grit about Shoreditch, but because it shares a border with “The City” financial district, the influence from its upscale neighbor can result in fascinating outcomes.
