Stayed at the Celtic as I needed a place to stay in London at relatively short notice and my usual, go-to places where all fully booked. The Celtic is conveniently located a few steps away from Russell Square tube station, close to the British Museum and other places of interest. I was not impressed with their booking system. The Celtic is wonderful place to stay the staff was friendly and able to help answer all questions. The full English breakfast was tasty and filling a great way to start a day. Best value in the area.

Stayed here in June for three nights. We had a private room with built in restroom with shower and a view of the front street. The room was well furnished with TV, night stands, desk and chair, chest of drawers, closet, sitting chairs and (non-working) fireplace with mantel. London was warm during our visit but the two floor to ceiling... More

I found the Celtic Hotel on TripAdvisor when looking for an affordable and central hotel. On both counts I am very happy with my choice. The location is fantastic! Located right in the center of London and a short walk to several museums, nice restaurants, pubs, parks and the tube. On arrival I took a taxi from St Pancras rail... More

As always the Celtic (even after its move from one end of the road to the other) still has that charm of a family run B&B in the heart of London. Great location. Rooms are basic but really all one needs. Rooms can be a bit noisy as the windows are old but this adds to the charm. The staff... More

Everything about this hotel was as described in the advertising. The location was excellent, the facilities entirely adequate and the staff's service was helpful and cordial. At reception, we received patient and comprehensive answers to our "tourist's questions." The full English breakfast fueled our activities until mid-afternoon. Yes, we'd stay again at this pleasant hotel.

This is a perfect place to stay if you have a relative at the nearby hospital. My dad was rushed in and I wanted to be close enough to get to him in an emergency. Staff were so friendly and pleasant Rooms are basic but perfect for somewhere just to get your head down for the night. We were on... More

This is a reasonably priced hotel in a very convenient location within a 20 -30 minute walk to many of London's best attractions. In addition, it is a 2 minute walk to the Russel Square underground station for the Piccadilly Line, which may be the best line for a London tourist to be near. The rooms were a good size... More

Stayed here, for 5 nights in mid August 2014, after reading reviews on TripAdvisor and was not disappointed. We were 2 adults, 2 kids in one quad room and 2 additional adults in a separate room. Quad room is tight but adequate. Other room was close quarters but not bad for 2. Both rooms had bathroom with shower. The staff... More

As part of a college class, I brought 9 students to London for a week and we stayed at the Celtic. Ms. Marazzi was so accommodating, working with us in advance to make sure we had the right number of rooms as our class numbers shifted. The students loved the hotel. They had no problem with the shared facilities and... More
