I stayed a weekend at the Grand and loved ever second of it. The staff is super friendly and helpful, the rooms were very nice, and the location is AMAZING. This hotel is within walking distance of Trafalgar Square, the National Gallery, the London Eye, Big Ben, Parliament, and Westminster Abbey. AND the closest tube station is about a 3... More

Stayed for 1 night as we went to a West End show and found this for what I paid excellent value for a central location. Right on Trafalgar Square, easy access to Theatre land and Chinatown. A couple of good pubs across the road. Nice room, perfectly adequate for our needs. Would definitely return.

Pretty much as it says on the tin - it's a simply brilliant location! Right next door to Trafalgar Square and Charing Cross Station. The room was clean and basic and pretty average - the price was good so it ranks as average. No bath - just a shower - which I hate. But all in all 5 for the... More

The Grand at Trafalgar is in a fab position for tubes, walks and Buckiingham Palace etc. Breakfast was lovely but quite expensive. Our room was clean and spacious for our needs and the shower was great. The sitting area in front of the bar where we drank coffee and chilled for a while was regularly occupied by the hotel staff who... When we arrived to check in Suzanne was unable to find our reservation, but she assured us that everything would be fine. She took our luggage, gave us directions to several sights and restaurants in the area. She said if we gave her an hour everything would be taken care of. We went our for a short walk around and... In London I usually stay in Bloomsbury and wasn't super-excited about the location change and a new hotel, which was the result of work requirements and not preference. I was wrong. This location is phenomenal and the hotel is convenient to everything you could want, including such great attractions as the national portrait gallery (an absolute must). Coffee shops, restaurants,... More

My second stay, and yet another great experience. We were four people travelling together, and appreciated the lounge next to the elevators on the second floor - it was a great place to meet and stay during planning, etc. The standard rooms are normally sized, not small. We had rooms 227 and 228 - facing the street, but no street... More

Only stayed one night and was more than a little disappointed to find that the only bar was closed upon our arrival at 13:00hrs & would remain so until 07:00hrs on our departure. This was apparently due to an impromptu stock check! Not really what I expected when staying in a four star hotel. However we found our room to... More

Centrally located, great staff, rooms with a lot of space (this is an exception in London!), good price / quality balance ! The bar is superb (interior) - the hotel is really classy ! Staying in Westminster

Neighborhood Profile
Westminster
If you only had an afternoon to experience London on a grand scale, Westminster would be a wise place to start. The ornate Houses of Parliament and Westminster Abbey sit adjacent at a corner of Parliament Square, and a short stroll along The Mall leads to Buckingham Palace. Trafalgar Square and Nelson's Column are just up the road as well. As captivating as the architecture is, the wonders of Mother Nature are highlights of the area too. St James's Park (arguably London's loveliest), the expansive Green Park, and pedestrian friendly tree lined paths along the river showcase the exquisite manicure provided by English gardeners. Just beyond the landmarks and the gorgeous outdoor spaces, quiet residential squares and age old local pubs offer a more subdued take on this global seat of power in the heart of London.
