The room was clean and comfortable; the location of the hotel was perfect for walking to most major attractions; the staff was helpful and professional and the food in the restaurant was very good. Would definitely stay there again.

Lovely place to stay in the middle of the city with easy access to everywhere. Beautiful hall and rooms with enough space and astonishingly big and comfortable beds. Friendly staff. Me and my girlfriend stayed at The Grand for one night on 2nd May and had an amazing time! From the start we arrived in London early, and went to see if we could check in early, which was no problem! The customer service was excellent. The room was spacious, and immaculate. Perfect location for everything we needed, only a... More

The grand is in a grand place - smack in the middle of London with easy access to everywhere you might want to be - parliament, covent garden, the Thames, the West End, theatres, National Gallery etc. It's in agrand building too - a fabulous facade on Northumberland avenue, pink marble everywhere as you enter and a sense of history... This is an excellently located hotel, walking distance to Covent Garden, West End and close to Charting Cross tube station. It's expensive VAT added on afterwards so watch out for this. Unfortunately the night we stayed there, their was a function on , we had to fight our way through 30 or so smokers stood right at the entrance to... More

I stayed here in the fall of 2014 on my way from India to the U.S. and will stay at this hotel this July. The location is perfect for city sight seeing. The hotel is basically geared to business travelers. Rooms are clean. Near restaurants, such as the Serlock Homes. I'm a repeat customer.

Staying in Westminster

Neighborhood Profile
Westminster
If you only had an afternoon to experience London on a grand scale, Westminster would be a wise place to start. The ornate Houses of Parliament and Westminster Abbey sit adjacent at a corner of Parliament Square, and a short stroll along The Mall leads to Buckingham Palace. Trafalgar Square and Nelson's Column are just up the road as well. As captivating as the architecture is, the wonders of Mother Nature are highlights of the area too. St James's Park (arguably London's loveliest), the expansive Green Park, and pedestrian friendly tree lined paths along the river showcase the exquisite manicure provided by English gardeners. Just beyond the landmarks and the gorgeous outdoor spaces, quiet residential squares and age old local pubs offer a more subdued take on this global seat of power in the heart of London.
