It was a trip to London for our Tenth wedding anniversary for two nights, we received a warm welcome on check in and we well looked after all weekend. Nothing seemed too much trouble for any of the staff. The hotel is clean, quiet and well maintained but its main attraction is the location, we used hardly used the tube... More

The hotel was ideal due to its location. You were metres from Nelsons column in Trafalgar Square. The room was clean and basic but in need of a refurb. We were in hotel room in the front and it was very noisy during the night with police, motorbikes and then refuse collection vehicles. Staff on re epsilon were nice &... More

Warm welcome from the guy on the desk who checked us in early and was more than happy to sort out the storage of our bags so we could go off site seeing. The room had everything you needed, was clean and for a prime location very good value. Everyone was very friendly and... More

I've stayed at The Grand at least eight times over the past several years, and even though it's a bit pricey, it's probably in the best spot in London. Right next to Trafalgar Square you are smack dab in the middle of the heart of London. The National Gallery Museum and National Portrait Gallery are right around the corner from... More

We enjoyed our brief stay at the Grand. The room was clean and comfortable and the staff were pleasant and helpful. Nice comfy bed too. My only complaint would be that the magnetic strip on the key card kept failing to work in the lift which panicked me a great deal as I have a fear of lifts anyway. Key... More

We recently spent the weekend in London, first time at The Grand, but will not be the last! On arrival at 10.30 in the morning to leave our luggage, were pleasantly surprised to be advised that our room was already available. Perfect location and all of the staff were welcoming and helpful. It was an extremely hot weekend, so the... More

We stayed four nights here and enjoyed every bit of it. It is conveniently located walking distance to great sites like Buckingham Palace, London Eye, River Thames, Chinatown, Soho etc. The hotel itself is very welcoming, clean and staff friendly. It also has a launderette which came in very handy. I would definitely recommend it.

Staying in Westminster

Neighborhood Profile
Westminster
If you only had an afternoon to experience London on a grand scale, Westminster would be a wise place to start. The ornate Houses of Parliament and Westminster Abbey sit adjacent at a corner of Parliament Square, and a short stroll along The Mall leads to Buckingham Palace. Trafalgar Square and Nelson's Column are just up the road as well. As captivating as the architecture is, the wonders of Mother Nature are highlights of the area too. St James's Park (arguably London's loveliest), the expansive Green Park, and pedestrian friendly tree lined paths along the river showcase the exquisite manicure provided by English gardeners. Just beyond the landmarks and the gorgeous outdoor spaces, quiet residential squares and age old local pubs offer a more subdued take on this global seat of power in the heart of London.
