I've had a few nightmare experiences in hotels this cheap before, but I've always worked on a policy of 'it's for one night, suck it up'. However, I have to say I was pleasantly surprised by the Chester Hotel. My room was tiny, but had everything I needed - towels, a kettle, two big mirrors, plenty of hangers, tv and... More

Picked this hotel without having read any reviews - which definitely is a first for me! We stayed in the hotel for 2 nights (over the weekend) and were given a groundfloor room (right behind the reception) upon arrival. Since the blind wouldn't shut, I asked to change the room and we got a room on the upper floor (where... More

Hello, we travelled 3 adults and child to London for 2 days only - we wanted something closer to city centre, cheap and not that big (and busy). Chester hotel was last minute choice and I must say it was good hotel. Room tiny with all things you need so it wasn't negative, although was a bit dusty (my girls... More

We usually stay in a slightly cheaper B&B in Victoria, but decided to pay a little more as the rooms looked nicer & we wasn't bothered about the hotel not supplying breakfast. The rooms look nice on the website & too be fare they 'probably' have been refurbished fairly recently, however they have not been looked after, the chandelier was... More

Booked this place because it was cheap and its location to Victoria coach station. Wasn't expecting much but this was unacceptable. The roof of the bathroom leaked after the person above us had a shower and when we complained it took us two attempts to get something to be done about it. They just tried to ignore the first complaint.... More

I stayed at this hotel by myself this month(room 9) Room>>Lovely and clean. Okay a little small but as a single traveller it was okay for me.En suite small bathroom with shower(you do have to stand far back against the wall and try not to flood the whole bathroom), toilet and sink. Towel, shampoo, shower gel and soap provided. Kettle... More

Positive: The room is clean, staff are friendly and they have WiFi and a TV in your room. It also has a selection of takeaways and restaurants not two minutes away. Negative: The shared bathroom I was using is actually used as a cleaning cupboard with chemicals and a mop and bucket in the corner. There was also a lot... More

This budget hotel occupies several small terraced Georgian town houses less than a 10 minute walk from Victoria Station and Victoria Bus Station, in an attractive street of Georgian properties. The main entrance and reception are very narrow and there is no lounge, bar or dining room in the hotel, but lots of shops, café’s, restaurants, takeaways, bars and pubs... More

DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL!! After finding this hotel on laterooms.com I called the hotel directly to ask about parking facilities and to check availability. They confirmed there was only ONE 4 person room (two double beds) left and there was local parking but it was on a first come first served basis (we chose to prebook a parking space... More

Staying in Pimlico

Neighborhood Profile
Time spent in Pimlico is a slower-paced affair than most other Central London neighborhoods. This largely residential area orderly arranged beside the Thames, is a treasure trove of quaint pubs, subtle architectural charms and local boutiques. Here, art lovers thrill at the chance to visit the world class Tate Britain gallery for its collection of British art from the 1500s to the present. For peace and quiet and some downtime spent along the Thames, Pimlico is highly recommended.
