The rooms are spacious and besides lots of stains on the carpets, seem clean. However, after a few good nights on the 4th floor, the pipes in the walls between the bedroom and bathroom developed a loud ticking/banging noise that went on constantly and kept us up at night. When we asked to change rooms they said they would fix... More

I recently stayed here with my boyfriend for two nights over the weekend. It was in a great location, clean and spacious. Had everything you would need and the staff were accommodating with an extra duvet for us when requested. We would stay here again!

This is my second time at Marlin Apartments and I really enjoyed my time here. The staff is really friendly and helpful. The rooms have all the facilities you need for self catering and there is a Tesco in the same building where you can get all you need. Parking at the hotel is really cheap compared with any London... The apartments are very spacious, with a fully-equipped kitchen and good amenities. Very good value for money. Great location and easy access with the tube station 2 minutes away. Front desk friendly and helpful. Overall, a great stay, comfortable and pleasant.

the location of the apartments are great and staff were very welcoming. We were down for the weekend and enjoyed the spaciousness of the apartment. I would say though that it was a little tired, the shower head could have done with a good clean and the shower screen was missing the seal so the bathroom turned into a swimming... More

We had a very nice stay here. Check in was quick and easy - we loved the apartment - it was very clean and spacious. Also, very quiet so we had a good sleep. There was no hot water in the morning, but the receptionist let me use the bathroom in another apartment just down the corridor. Tesco is just... More

For 6 nights I expect to have a bit more than just 2 toilet rolls. There is no shower gel or shampoo, no dishwashing liquid or any cleaning rags or detergent. You will need to buy everything. There is only one t spoon and 2 mugs.. But lots of pans and pots like I'm opening a restaurant here. The free Internet... More

We have been coming here for extended stays for 5 years, and keep coming back because of the friendliness, kindness and attentiveness of the staff and the comfort of the facility and the wonderful location. Perched just a short walk from London Bridge Station, the joys of Borough Market, and the wonderful sights and dining on Bankside (including the Tate... More

Where do I start? I work nearby in London and have stayed here probably two dozen times across the last year. It was important with that frequency of travel to have a place close to my office with a kitchenette, and as we are a small company, I needed something reasonably priced. It fit the bill, but if I honestly... More

Staying in Southwark

Neighborhood Profile
Southwark
Even before the arrival of the instantly iconic Shard, the riverside scene in Southwark had moved well beyond any up-and-coming phase of development. For quite some time, locals and out-of-towners alike have loved browsing the boutiques of Bermondsey High Street, foraging through the bounteous stalls at centuries old foodie haven Borough Market, and flocking to the banks of the Thames to enjoy some of Britain's biggest attractions such as Tate Modern and Shakespeare's Globe. Despite Southwark's many popular draws, instant calm can be achieved easily by turning down almost any side street. For more urban buzz, a quick stroll across famed bridges like the pedestrianized Millennium Bridge or the ever photogenic Tower Bridge yields access to the very core of Central London. And with London Bridge Station as this neighborhood's main transportation hub, getting across town (or to anywhere in England for that matter) is a relative breeze.
