The location is fantastic and the staff were brilliant. The rooms are what you would expect, college dorm rooms with tiny shower/wet rooms but they provide you with towels and toiletries. No facility to make coffee in your room but there was a shared kitchen where they provide you with tea, coffee, sugar and sometimes milk pots. The kitchen was... More

The rooms range from small singles at excellent prices to larger doubles or twins at rather higher prices. Nevertheless, for the amazing location so close to all that central London has to offer, finding somewhere with doubles around £100 per night speaks for itself. The ensuite bathroom is, as it says, just a pod and reminds me of a stay... More

Probably the best student housing that tourists can rent out in London. Very cheap and affordable with various rooms options available in the best location right beside Trafalgar Square and Charing Cross station. Bathrooms are very small in the rooms and the rooms are very basic but you get what you pay for. Staff are okay on the reception, its... More

I stayed at LSE Northumberland House when I took a solo trip to London in September 2014. I stayed in a single room with a bathroom pod. The accommodations are sparse, but comfortable, clean, and perfect for an economy solo traveler. The bed was comfortable, the view from the upper floor was terrific, the location one block from Trafalgar Square... More

Room was a warm small hole with a fan. The bed was too soft but at least had a small old tv. This hotel for me was all about the location which os awesome. Cleaningwise it was kind of okay. Would stay there again if I'd just need to be there for a day and I'd only go there to... More

Charing Cross and Trafalgar Square are just a few steps away. The place is very clean and the staff are friendly and always read to help the guests. Wifi is available as well as kitchens in every floor. Great sleep quality as the hotel is very quiet. Excellent value for money.

This hotel is located just next to Trafalgar Square, so bearing in mind its central position it is really great value for money. The rooms are basic but very clean and the shower is great. Towels etc are provided and the staff are really helpful and friendly. Wifi and kitchen area is available and the hotel is very quiet.

Considering the area, the price is very good value. This is situated in a great area from which to explore all the touristey stuff. We only stayed for one night, but it was comfortable and within walking distance to most things we wanted to do. Bed was very comfortable, en suite bathroom was fine aswell. Not luxury by any stretch... More

After 3 weeks in South London - Bexley - I enjoyed one night before my flight to Slovakia. Location of hotel is wonderful - just 3 minutes walk from Charing Cross Station, 3 minutes walk from Thames. I stayed in a room on floor 3. Everything was clear, I could make my own coffee/tee,there were some books about London for... More

Staying in Westminster

Neighborhood Profile
Westminster
If you only had an afternoon to experience London on a grand scale, Westminster would be a wise place to start. The ornate Houses of Parliament and Westminster Abbey sit adjacent at a corner of Parliament Square, and a short stroll along The Mall leads to Buckingham Palace. Trafalgar Square and Nelson's Column are just up the road as well. As captivating as the architecture is, the wonders of Mother Nature are highlights of the area too. St James's Park (arguably London's loveliest), the expansive Green Park, and pedestrian friendly tree lined paths along the river showcase the exquisite manicure provided by English gardeners. Just beyond the landmarks and the gorgeous outdoor spaces, quiet residential squares and age old local pubs offer a more subdued take on this global seat of power in the heart of London.
