I only had a couple of days in London with my girlfriend so I took the time to book early to make sure we had a bed. I booked at Elephant and Castle and received a confirmation. However when I tried to check-in on the day that I booked, I was informed that due to "technical difficulties" I no longer... More

I had paid a deposit for a booking at the Elephant and Castle guesthouse/hostel for 1 night for the 5th December and received an email stating that my reservation has been cancelled due to "technical difficulties"l as I was about to board a 13 hour flight from Tokyo to London. I had supplied my credit card details online and paid... More

The 'Guest house' is unprofessionally run by one person. On arrival, we couldn't get into the place as there is no reception. After ringing the bell for some time, we called the number on our reservation print-out. After some time, we managed to get the code to enter the Guest House. This brings up the first secureity concern of many.... More

This place is not what has been desribed on this or other websites as a 'guest house'. We booked through a hotels broker with pictures of clean, bright modern rooms in an an area of South London. Upon arrival on Friday afternoon we found at the address a terraced house with no sign above the door to tell us we... More

this hostel is great. i stayed in a 8 bed female dorm, a room with big windows (unfortunately we couldn't open them), brand new beds, and a fan in the middle of the room. showers were spottly clean but two of three were out of order so we had to wait a long time to have a shower. toilets incredibly...
