Sadly our stay here was spoiled by the cleanliness (or lack of) in the bathrooms occupied by some of our group. Some of our group had gorgeous bathrooms, making this even more infuriating. If this could be sorted and cleanliness more consistent across the hostel, then it would be an ideal place to stay.

I have stayed here quite a few times and its always good, clean and affordable. the location is excellent. The staff are always helpful and caring. Slept well too! So handy for the bus into town or the tube at South Kensington. No smoking too!

We recently stayed here for a friend vacation. We enjoyed the hospitality until the night where the staff suddenly became hostile and snappy. The slightest noise and they were up threatening to kick us out. The manager was very abrupt and aggressive at night but during the day she was kind and gentle. In short, enjoyed the stay, but wouldn't... More

It's a really clean, up-market hostel rather than a hotel- but great for groups. We went with 48 teenage boys. Efficiently run; I particularly liked the fact that their staff went round telling kids to be quiet in their rooms! breakfast was basic, including meat and cheese, cereal toast and juice. The dining room can't accommodate a lot of people,... More

Dear Guest, Thank you so much for taking the time to leave us this lovely feedback. We are absolutely delighted that you've enjoyed your stay and that you've appreciated our efforts to keep the corridors as quiet as possible, especially at night. Really easy to get to from LHR via the tube and easy access to the city & attractions via tube, bus, walk or cycle. Comfortable beds in very clean and well kept rooms. The hostel was very quiet even over New Years Eve. Convenient services offered such as towel, locker & adaptor hire were great.

Although the facilities are simple, they are clean and very well located. The breakfast is generous and german style. Very good recommend this place. If anything the bathrooms are a little cramped otherswise superb value for money!

We stayed in a six bed room on the fifth floor which had 2 sets of bunk beds and 2 single beds (group of 4 adults and 2 children). The room itself was well decorated and the bathroom was clean and looked newly refurbished. The mattresses on the beds are firm, but that's fine as I find that most comfortable;... More

Great location! Just in front of Natural History Museum and 10 minutes walk to Kensington Gardens. I spent 5 nights out there. It's narrow,... More

Staying in South Kensington

Neighborhood Profile
South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.
