I recently stayed overnight at the Church Street Hotel, not really sure what to expect I was pleasantly surprised. The rooms are very spacious and the beds are very comfy. The bathroom was decorated with beautiful hand painted tiles and there was a great honesty bar located downstairs with a good range of DVDs which you could take back to... More

Stayed here with my 18 year old daughter ad we both loved the hotel, my daughter wanted to move in. Great location for getting in and out of London. We chose this hotel because it was not too far away from Brixton O2 Academy. Would not hesitate to recommend.

This hotel is not in the best of locations in terms of it is on a busy London road. However it is well worth booking. I went to Electric Brixton to see Sasha for New Years eve and wish I had more time in the hotel. It was clean and comfortable and the unique. The hotel has character and there... More

This was my first time here and I was VERY impressed. All of the staff I met were very friendly, very helpful and very pleasant. The hotel was faultlessly clean throughout. As you can tell from the description and photos, this hotel has a Spanish theme and it is done extremely well, it's not tacky. My single room was very... More

I hate it ! It's an old building , no elevator-don't bring lots of luggage - , a maze of short hallways and steep narrow stairs suitable for accidents ( hey don't worry there's Kings College Hospital nearby ! ) , bored , indifferent staff .....I was given a cold kitsch depressing room with a dysfunctional shower and I could... Dear Sir Thank you for your feedback , and I am very sorry to hear that our hotel did not meet your expectations. We are an independent hotel in a 150 years old Georgian town house with individually styled rooms, ironwork comfortable beds , hand painted Mexican tiles, LED TVs, blue rays with vast selection of DVDs available to all... Stayed one night before a training course at Kings College. Ideally located for there and the Maudsley Hospital. Easy to find and a ten minute max walk from Denmark Hill train station which has regular services to central London. Area around the hotel felt very safe. Breakfast was £5 which got you a small but tasty selection of pastries, cereal... More

Stayed two nights at this hotel whilst in London for a friend's wedding. There are a lot of nice things to say about it. The room was spotless and the furnishings, quirky. There is a lounge where you can make yourself complementary tea or coffee and an honesty bar if you want something a little stronger. Downstairs there is a... More

Bit of a maze of stairs inside, but nice rooms, good value breakfast, with the added bonus of a really nice Tapas restaurant, and a nice Spanish/Catholic/Alcohol cocktail bar in the basement with really nice staff for the evening.

We stayed here recently when going to a gig at Brixton Academy, so initially it was the location we were looking for, but came across this place via a bit of online searching and so glad we did. I was a little apprehensive at first as we got the bus down there from Liverpool St, and to be honest, the... More
