I very much enjoyed my recent stay at this hotel. It is conveniently located close to Charing Cross or Piccadily Circus, tastefully designed and beautifully furnished. The staff I encountered made me feel incredibly welcome, and were so friendly and helpful. The rooms are fabulous and very well sized with everything you could possibly require. The swimming pool was perfect,... More

Can't say enough wonderful things about this hotel. Absolutely stunning spacious room, we had over looking the main street across from the theater for Phatom of the Opera. No noise from the road even with construction just down the block, nor from the "Lift" next to the room. Everyone was extreme pleasant and courteous from the moment we arrive from... More

We stayed here with friends in May 2014 and were so impressed with the hotel and staff. We booked two suites which were individually decorated, both so different but equally as wonderful. Our beds were comfortable and bathrooms were stocked with lovely products and lots of white fluffy towels. Considering our rooms faced directly onto Haymarket, they were surprisingly quiet... More

This is truly a fantastic hotel. Well located, beautifully designed and furnished. You are made to feel very welcome by genuine, friendly and helpful staff. Cool basement pool, good gym, great bar and very good restaurant, breakfast was particularly delicious! Overall, a fabulous hotel, one of the best in London in my opinion. Very highly recommended by @nicksfoodblog

While fortunate enough to receive an upgrade to a junior suite, this was a great experience from start to finish regardless. Service was clearly important to the hotel, and they would go out of the way to help. For example, since I wanted a massage when the spa was closed, they arranged for an in-room massage treatment. The room felt... More

After another stay at the Haymarket this time for 5 nights, I can confirm it still maintains the best of everything. Wonderfully decorated rooms and such comfortable beds. The bar with a buzzing atmosphere and fabulous dining in an uncomplicated sense - the breakfasts are a great balance between buffet style then served cooked items. The gym is small but... More

Firmdale has developed a true gem and sets a mark for the industry, combining true, refined luxury without being stuffy. My other 2 favorites are the Ham Yard and the Soho, they are the 3 best in London, so the type of room you can get may help you decide. Staff is impressive and get anything done faster than anywhere... More

I;m gonna be honest, Id rather be on a farm raking hay 24/7 than stay in the Haymarket hotel. iN SHORT, this place was absolutely piggy. I wouldnt even let my cleaners stay here. Id rather sleep in a dog basket. Towels in the room literally WREAK, god knows of what but I tell you it wasnt a pleasant odour.... More

What a wonderful hotel! The road leading to it is the only one in London where one drives on the right - how quirky!! I was especially impressed that they let me make an international phone call from reception without asking to see my room key, which I didn't have because I totally wasn't a guest there. Full marks!

Staying in Trafalgar Square / Embankment

Neighborhood Profile
Trafalgar Square / Embankment
With its iconic Nelson’s Column, majestic oversized lions and brightly-lit fountains, Trafalgar Square is not just considered the heart of this bustling London hub, but the very core of the city itself. Beyond this esteemed gathering place are more famous icons, as well as a disproportionate numbers of the city’s most popular cultural attractions including the National Gallery and many West End theaters. Along the way to these major sites are quiet lanes and antiquated pubs to discover, as well as riverside vistas to enjoy on the embankment. With a calendar full of celebratory events, any time of year is a fine time to visit.
