My husband and I stayed here for four nights in June. We loved being at the Haymarket and hope to return in the near future. The staff, furnishing, food and location of this hotel make it a great pleasure to stay here.. Every fabric, chair, lamp, carpet, and painting in the hotel have been carefully chosen. The staff had restaurant... More

Having stayed at Soho and Ham Yard before, this was no surprise anymore. Firmdale Hotels are top class. The location of Haymarket Hotel is perfect for theatre evenings, Soho fun, shopping. The room was big, very airy. Great bed, big granite bath with a nice tub. Perfect for chilling, alone or not. Excellent service all over!

Another gem from the Firmdale group, the Haymarket hotel is my third visit to their small chain and I have yet to be disappointed. Like my last stay at Covent Garden or the Dorset, from the minute you enter to the minute you leave, there is hardly a detail that stains the experience. Haymarket might be my favorite but I’m... Stayed for one night. The room was huge and very easily accommodated a couple plus a teenager. The flat screen TV in the bathroom went down very well with our son. The service was excellent no matter who we met. The location is excellent for Covent Garden, Trafalgar and Leicester Squares and Fortnum and Masons.

I found this hotel on Tripadvisor...and we loved it! The staff were so helpful with directions, getting us last minute show tickets, last minute dinner reservations and booked a trip to the airport at a reasonable price! The room was great with comfortable bed, well appointed bath and mini bar. Perfect if you like boutique hotels with high quality. I... More

If the room rates here @ the Haymarket were around £ 325 instead of £ 450, I would stay here every time. The staff is lovely, competent, helpful, and chatty. The design is beautiful and modern, yet not overdone. It's not just lipstick on top of a crusty old hotel. Loving care clearly went into the infrastructure and maintenance. The... More

Stayed in June 2015 and did not want to leave. In room 400 on the top floor. Room is spacious, lots of wardrobe space, fully tiled bathroom with double sinks and shower. Immaculately clean, and always given lots of towels, fluffy robes and slippers. Beds were comfortable and linens were very high quality. Importantly the double glazing did its job.... More

The Haymarket is a delightful hotel with great service; it is impeccably decorated and maintained. The bedrooms are modern, comfortable and well appointed, the bathrooms large and modern. The breakfast, included with our rate, had a wonderful buffet and an even better a la carte offering. Our family of four stayed for 4 days. We tried every plate on the... More

Great 5 star boutique hotel find. Wonderful staff with endless amount of help and suggestions. Perfect location, awesome pool and meeting room in the basement. It feels more like your apartment. The hotel is quite with secluded rooms in each section. Around the corner from The National Gallery and Trafalgar Square. Victoria Palace Theatre across the street. Walking distance to... More

Staying in Trafalgar Square / Embankment

Neighborhood Profile
Trafalgar Square / Embankment
With its iconic Nelson’s Column, majestic oversized lions and brightly-lit fountains, Trafalgar Square is not just considered the heart of this bustling London hub, but the very core of the city itself. Beyond this esteemed gathering place are more famous icons, as well as a disproportionate numbers of the city’s most popular cultural attractions including the National Gallery and many West End theaters. Along the way to these major sites are quiet lanes and antiquated pubs to discover, as well as riverside vistas to enjoy on the embankment. With a calendar full of celebratory events, any time of year is a fine time to visit.
