We had a two bedroom, two bathroom apartment, bed was very comfortable, cleanliness excellent, nice layout with a great shower Reasonable walk to nearest tube, fittings a bit cheap, chair falling apart a bit and dishwasher not screwed down into the units. Wifi in the apartment was a bit dodgy

Apartment had a great view over towards The Shard. We booked a two bedroom apartment which had some slight signs of wear and tear but nothing terrible or potentially worse than a hotel. Clean and well equipped for cooking breakfast. Large fridge freezer and dishwasher. Location was close to Tower Bridge and London Bridge tube and easy walking. Quiet location... More

Before making a booking, I read quite a few of the reviews on tripadvisor and although I saw some rather adverse comments, I decided that I would risk a visit. I can only pass on the views of my particular experience, which was one night in room 61A. I arrived at 1 pm with work to finish and although it... More

From Australia we booked six nights at Malting. Its about a kilometre walk from either London Bridge or Tower Hill railway stations which wasn't too bad, even with big suitcases. The apartment was pleasant enough and had good kitchen facilities and a washing machine which is always a bonus overseas. It was also close to a range of pubs, restaurants... More

I took my young family to stay here during the holidays in May, We all really enjoyed our time, we stayed for 1 week and we loved having breakfast in the Atrium where the kids could run about a bit. It is so close to all the attractions we walked everywhere. We caught a cab in the nights to go... More

Difficult to find and a big walk with luggage from underground. No aircon so think it would be very hot in warm weather. We were on second floor with heavy cases and the stairs were a bit of a struggle. Rooms clean and tidy, probably reasonable value for London. Biggest problem was the poor wifi.

Wild recommend to someone on a budget. My boyfriend and I stayed in April and had a very difficult time finding the apt when we arrived. Room was clean kitchen and laundry included however there was a leak in the shower which caused a huge spill onto the bathroom floor. Bed was confortable, nice View of london Eye. Close to... More

After booking an apartment on booking.com on Friday I received a cancellation email at Monday lunchtime for a stay due Monday evening. This was due to a fault with my credit card which was unanticipated as had plenty of avaliable funds. Despite submitting my phone number with the booking I received no warning. I called them up immediately offering the... More

Maltings is located in a fairly central part of London but is still quite a walk from London Bridge underground station. There are buses and cabs though that connect you faster if necessary. Across the road is the fabulous Tower Bridge and a great walk along the Thames. The apartment itself... We were shown to our first apartment and to... More

This is absolutely fantastic. You make your holiday exactly as you like. The location is great for travelers with sightseeing in mind. Tower bridge is "right there", and from there you can walk WHERE EVER. The staff is welcoming and ALWAYS look after you. And if you go here, PLEASE visit The Kitchen for breakfast. See review.

Staying in Southwark

Neighborhood Profile
Southwark
Even before the arrival of the instantly iconic Shard, the riverside scene in Southwark had moved well beyond any up-and-coming phase of development. For quite some time, locals and out-of-towners alike have loved browsing the boutiques of Bermondsey High Street, foraging through the bounteous stalls at centuries old foodie haven Borough Market, and flocking to the banks of the Thames to enjoy some of Britain's biggest attractions such as Tate Modern and Shakespeare's Globe. Despite Southwark's many popular draws, instant calm can be achieved easily by turning down almost any side street. For more urban buzz, a quick stroll across famed bridges like the pedestrianized Millennium Bridge or the ever photogenic Tower Bridge yields access to the very core of Central London. And with London Bridge Station as this neighborhood's main transportation hub, getting across town (or to anywhere in England for that matter) is a relative breeze.
