We stayed here for three nights and, because prior to this, we had had a night in the Shard, knew that it would fade by comparison. However, we were fairly well pleased with our choice. The lounge/diner was large and comfortable with a decent amount of kitchen utensils and everything gratifyingly clean too. The bedroom was tiny but had enough... More

The apartment we stayed in was big. It was at the back of the complex and the noise from the trains was a nuisance. We had trouble finding it when we arrived. Maybe a big sign on the main road side of the building would be useful. There was no lift to our apartment although we were asked if we... More

What a beautiful apartment So reasonably priced. Right near Tower Bridge and loads of bars, restaurants and shops. The appointment is very clean very comfortable and spacious. The reception staff are kind and helpful. Really recommend this place, a great place to stay! Great view from our room!

Apartment was a nightmare to find by foot after travelling to London Bridge subway. Our mobile phone could not locate it and we spent half an hour hunting! Had booked with Booking.com so sign only says Allstay and Maltings sign was tiny! However, got checked in and tho we were top floor in separate building, the apartment itself was just... More

Very accessible to public transport and London area! The apartment is small and can be uncomfortable after a while if staying for more than a few days/a week. We stayed for nearly two weeks the room was serviced only once during that time to be serviced more than once would have cost extra, the couch is small and uncomfortable but... More

Can't say we will be staying here again. Although the accommodation is in a good location with lots on its doorstep, we obviously stayed at a busy time and paid top dollar for something very underwhelming. Stark rooms, uncomfortable beds, and an incredibly noisy boiler. All in all quite depressing, and topped off by noisy neighbours. Not brilliant.

Fabulous location for walking to tower bridge and london bridge stations. Plenty of pubs and cafes nearby for lunch and or dinner. We had a one bedroom apartment which was spacious, clean, modern and a washing machine. Beds were comfy despite near London bridge station couldnt hear them! Staff were friendly and very polite.

We booked this through bookings.com. we are not sorry. When we arrived at London Bridge station with all our luggage we did find the station challenging with escalators and traffic was horrendous. Although it is in walking distance of the apartment we were tired after a long trip and hailed a raxi. Worth the £6 fare. we were welcomed by... More

*a lot of deferred maintenance; scratches, dents, hinges coming off; rust; the smell of cat tribe in the shared entry way with the other apartment. *ventilation a problem; one small openable window; otherwise two doors opening into terrace that have to be closed for security when not attended to, making for a very warm apartment upon return. *absolutely no shelving... Staying in Southwark

Neighborhood Profile
Southwark
Even before the arrival of the instantly iconic Shard, the riverside scene in Southwark had moved well beyond any up-and-coming phase of development. For quite some time, locals and out-of-towners alike have loved browsing the boutiques of Bermondsey High Street, foraging through the bounteous stalls at centuries old foodie haven Borough Market, and flocking to the banks of the Thames to enjoy some of Britain's biggest attractions such as Tate Modern and Shakespeare's Globe. Despite Southwark's many popular draws, instant calm can be achieved easily by turning down almost any side street. For more urban buzz, a quick stroll across famed bridges like the pedestrianized Millennium Bridge or the ever photogenic Tower Bridge yields access to the very core of Central London. And with London Bridge Station as this neighborhood's main transportation hub, getting across town (or to anywhere in England for that matter) is a relative breeze.
