Have just spent 10 wonderful days in London staying at Fraser place. I was happy with the fabulous location of this accommodation and the service was always friendly and helpful. But my biggest complaint is the quality of the beds! After travelling for a month was looking forward to staying in one place in London. I was quite surprised how... More

Fraser was recommended by a friend and wasn't very sure whether I wanted to stay there. However I was very happy with the place. We got a ground floor room and was very big as per London standards. The hotel is two minutes away from Gloucester road station and there are many places to eat around there. Only problem is... More

All I can say is be conscious of those who say the room sizes vary - our studio was tiny and our "sofa bed" was two uncomfortable chairs. In the end, the location was great and the tiny room with the sun beating down on us in the morning got us up and moving, but there is a Holiday Inn... More

This is a good place to choose if you are traveling with small kids and you want them to have a little more space than in a normal hotel room. The one bedroom flat we had was spacious and clean, very well isolated from the noise of the busy street below, although it was on the first floor. The location... More

After reading some of the previous reviews, I was a little bit apprehensive as to what to expect. My sister stayed here last year and recommended it, except not to stay in a basement room, as she had done. Our room was on the 3rd floor and involved a few stairs to reach it, but was no big problem (we... More

We booked this accommodation from NZ and were unsure of what the quality would be but it was great. The large, airy apartment was really great and very clean. No request was too much trouble although language barriers were not always easy. The breakfast and breakfast room were far more than expected. A couple of minutes walk from the Gloucester... More

Good location but rooms are noisy either because of noise from major road outside or other flats.

We stayed there for 5 days and it was perfect. The room was very big and comfortable. I enjoyed being there and the location is great, near Gloucester Road station. This is an advantage because you can get the tube and everything is near. This street (where the tube is located) is full or restaurants and it has two supermarkets... More

Very close to a main tube station, so it was easy to go all over London via Gloucester tube station which is less than 5mn walking... The room was very cute duplex, the breakfast served was very delicious and the lady is excellent running all over the place to satisfy everyone and do everything! You have your own kitchinette with... More

The rooms are large, at first glance very clean, but on the second day we noticed bugs. I'd rather not know exactly what kind of bugs, but I have my suspicion as they were in the kitchen and the bathroom. The noise level from the steet is also horrible, it's like having the windows open at all times, no soundproofing... More

Staying in South Kensington

Neighborhood Profile
South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.
