We stayed for 2 nights, and it was very nice. The staff was brilliant. Clean and a very good breakfast. The room was very clean and the beds were good. The bath was small, but not realy a problem. We will come again. A realy nice family owned hotel.

This is my second time to write a review for this place as my first one was not allowed . I can't stress enough how unsafe and disgusting this place is . All the goings on outside wit women and men and then them coming in and out of the place . It was disgusting . This is like a... More

Dear Emma, I was very disappointed to read both yours and your friends review posted on 8th December. I will provide accurate and honest responses to your remarks. There has been a minor issue in Sussex Gardens in recent weeks with ladies on the street which the local police have been dealing with but nothing more than that. We have... More

This is the worst "hotel" I ever stayed in. We stayed in room 32 right at the top about 10 flights of stairs. Dirty rooms rude staff. FILTHY. Prostitutes outside. Very very unsafe. Worst experience I ever had!

Spotlessly clean room with double bed, TV and kettle. En-suite WC and very good shower. Full English breakfast with orange juice, toast and cereal. Friendly staff who genuinely care for their guests. Highly recommended!

Stayed for four nights at the Astoria with a friend. I requested a quiet room and got one on the ground floor with two doors to help keep noise out. We asked for extra pillows and got them straight away. There are tea/coffee facilities in the room, but there are small bars of soap instead of shampoo and shower gel.... More

We were booked into room 6 on the first floor. The room was at the back of the hotel looking out onto a blank brick wall but as we were only there when it was dark this was no hardship and did mean we had less traffic noise. Accommodation was very small and the bathroom was a prefabricated affair similar... More

Well what can I say??. This has to be the worst hotel that I have ever stayed at in London. Firstly the mould in our room, then the shower room was something that you would expect on a cheap inside cabin on a ship. All the beds are stained and are unsteady. Carpets stained and mould on skirting boards and... More

Our room was on the ground floor, so wasn't too bright. Was a bit dirty, especially bathroom. However we stayed in the middle of the city. Service was a bit hectic, chaotic, not too impressive really.

Located in one of a row of converted Georgian houses, this hotel has no frills, but it's clean and comfortable. The bed took up 2/3 of the quite small room with retrofitted prefab bathroom, but the mattress seemed new and made for a sound sleep. Service is excellent and friendly. Breakfast (choice between full English and Continental) is served by... More

Prepare to be disappointed. We paid for a double bed room with bathroom. We got a room the size of a cupboard with two single beds (which had the hardest, most uncomfortable mattresses I've ever slept on), and an airplane bathroom that was barely big enough for one small woman. It was also up four flights of incredibly steep and... More
