80 pounds the night for such a small room without breakfast... was clean however. Bathroom was very small. Furniture looked old. People were nice. Note that we were next to the stairs and we could hear a lot of noise - people walking by. Worth half the price to my opinion.

Thanks for your 'to the point' review. I sort of agree that our rooms are expensive (in the big scheme of things) - but not for the area, we're one of the cheapest places to stay in Bloomsbury. Staying in central London is pricey, and we do our best to keep our prices down, but it's not easy - one... More

We had a fab stay at the hotel, the staff are very friendly and willing to help. The location is great close to Russell square tube station. The room and bathrooms are clean and well looked after. I will use this hotel again when ever I am in London.

Some places have a better "star" rating, yet are a big disappointment. This hotel was basic but clean, and overall good value for money. Not dingy or smelly. I enjoyed a good night's sleep without disturbance, in room 42 on the top floor, overlooking a quiet back yard. Recommended for a cheap yet clean and safe overnight in central London,... More

Very friendly and helpful staff, cute room, good location :) would happily come back again! Not too expensive for London which is a plus. The rooms aren't really big but it is clean and makes it a cosy place to stay for a couple nights.

This little family run hotel is perfectly situated to explore central London on foot. Only a few minutes walk from the British museum, Covent Garden and Oxford street. Also just moments from a tube station and many many bus stops! The hotel itself is basic but sweet, situated in a row of old London houses rather than a purpose built... More

This is a great little find. Location is very good, just minutes from Euston station but in the quieter area of Tavistock place. I was on the ground floor and there was hardly any traffic. Very clean and tidy. Lovely cafe adjoining. Nice staff. Easy.

Our family spent three days in London, and St Athans certainly helped make our holiday a very nice one. The hotel is conveniently located near museums and public transport stops, and it's really cheap for such a central location. Breakfast is not included, but there is a lovely cafe downstairs that serves traditional English breakfast and great coffee. The rooms... More

Lovely helpful staff - clean light room, simple furnishings with a bit of character and good bathrooms - near enough to our room and there must have been quite a few as we never had to wait for a shower. I love the rambling corridors and creaky floors that still give a flavour of the old building. Well placed hotel... More

A nice comfortable hotel in a brilliant location. Friendly staff and great cafe downstairs for breakfast. Looks like they have introduced some good eco-features which I like. Would certainly go back for another stay.

Staying in Bloomsbury

Neighborhood Profile
Snuggly nestled within Central London is academic and leafy Bloomsbury, an area that boasts walking distance access to many of London's most popular attractions. It is also home to some of Britain's most celebrated museums, including the must-see British Museum. Despite an understandable popularity with students, tourists and day trippers, vast sections of Bloomsbury retain a quiet, residential feel year round and throughout the week.
