Nice looking hotel with good facilities and an excellent location close to Paddington. Room was on the small side but comfortable. Bed was lovely and we had a good night sleep. Service I. The hotel could not be faulted- everyone we encountered was lovely. Our luggage was stored for us even after check out so we could explore the city.... More

Stayed 4 nights at the Royal Hyde Park. On the plus side : 1. location ! 2 minutes from Bayswater, 15 minutes from Paddington where you can catch the Heathrow express, and 5 minutes from Hyde Park. 2. Good breakfast with ample choice. 3. Friendly service at the reception On the negative side : 1. Rooms are extremely small. Stayed... More

Well, the hotel rooms are tiny but that can be expected from a London hotel in that price range. The breakfast was literally toast and croissants everyday with yogurt and apples. Unfortunately no real choice and no variety. The staff was not really friendly most of the times, except for one man. The location is very nice, two minutes away... More

Very small rooms. Nice enough for one night. Middle of a very busy street. Location was okay as there is a tube station at the end of the road. Plenty of restaurants and food places near by. Actual hotel is okay, quite small but alright.

Firstly, I would like to say that the staff we dealt with were lovely and extremely helpful. They were great with our little boy, particularly the male staff member who was on when we checked in. We also had a problem with our door not locking, the man had no trouble popping to have a look and sorted us a... More

Stayed at the Royal Hyde Park Hotel for 3 nights during my second stay in London. I wanted to stay in the Queensway/Bayswater area as it was where i stayed last time and i found it close to lots of things and was good to be somewhere familiar. Rooms are a little small, but clean and comfortable and does the... More

Rooms are small, but big enough. No euro-sockets (though, stated on their website), almost impossible to figure out how to make hair dryer work. Cleans room, towels changed every day. Staff was really helpful and let us leave our bags at reception while we had time before our flight.

Completely different from the pictures. Room was cramped with no bedside table. Everything had to go on the floor. Dirty carpet. Dirty windowsill. Glorified hostel with rude and abrupt staff. Do not waste your money on this place. 69 we paid for one night and I wouldn't even pay a tenner. People trying my door all night. Anyone can walk... More

Saw lots of negative reviews regarding bathroom size.. But it was absolutely fine. Rooms were clean and comfortable for sleeping, the bathrooms were fine- the shower was actually pretty good! The staf were really helpful and let us leaves our bags in reception while we were out. Had a decent nights stay for a reasonable price, the location is good... More

Staying in Notting Hill

Neighborhood Profile
Notting Hill
As West London's friskiest corner, Notting Hill more than manages to retain plenty of the same appeal that's brought the affluent area so much worldwide attention. In this attractive cobblestoned neighborhood, a delectable variety of eateries, independent shops, galleries and street vendors offer a delightful window into how to live the good life in London, with each presenting visitors with an experience that's a little more idiosyncratic and endearing than the last. Travelers looking to forage for antiques should be sure to visit the Portobello Road Market on Saturdays, the largest antiques market in the United Kingdom.
