3rd floor room had a dangerous staircase to climb to start our visit! Room was extremely small & outdated. Bathroom....soooo small you could barely fit. Sink so small, couldn't even fit your hands in it .....NO SOAP PROVIDED by hotel! Water pressure.....none..... Shower very small. Uncomfortable beds. Someone knocked on our door at 2am....afraid to open it! Breakfast of prepackaged... More

The host was welcoming and the service good, which is the only thing that saved this from being a lower rating. They kept our bags for us when we had checked out, another plus. And the hotel was really handy for Victoria trains and coaches. But there were just too many problems: 1 Sink in the ensuite leaked, so the... More

I'm British but live in France and I have organised trips for friends to London for the last 5 years and we have always stayed at Surtees Hotel. The hotel is in a perfect location, just a 10 minute walk from Victoria station when arriving from Gatwick airport, and within easy walking distance of Westminster Abbey, The Houses of Parliament, Big... We stayed in a 3 bed shoebox, roughly 2m x 3m. It was cheaper then most hostels in London however that's the only positive. Beds uncomfortable, shower pressure varies. Bathroom is made for hobbits, we are all 6ft+ and could not fit in the shower or use the toilet whilst standing up. But, its cheap for London and clean, so... More

Good staff working there and nice rooms. The only thing i might would have wanted better were the breakfast. Maybe some eggs and bacon or sausages :) But overall very nice hotel. But im am going back there next time i go visit London.

We chose this hotel because the price was good, the reviews reasonable. We were in London to see the tennis being held in the O2, the previous time we did this we chose a hotel as near as we could to the venue - the result was that we had a lot of potch getting to the O2 even though... More

We wanted a clean, safe, comfortable place to stay while we were at a conference. We had read all the reviews, and it seemed to offer all these things. The only complaint we seemed to find in the reviews was that it was small. The pictures made the place look quite dated, but we didn't mind if it was clean,... More

Stayed here for three nights in October. Staff are very friendly and the location is close to Victoria station. We were on the third floor and with the narrow stair case made it very difficult to carry three suitcases up and down. We had a ensuite room which was like they turned a wardrobe into a bathroom, it was tiny,... More

Stayed here 4 nights and were really pleasently surprised. We had a small room with bathroom in the second floor and we slept really well every night, which was the main thing for us. Staff was helpful, wifi worked well and breakfast was basic but decent. This hotel has a great location, it is close to Victoria station and Big... More

Staying in Pimlico

Neighborhood Profile
Time spent in Pimlico is a slower-paced affair than most other Central London neighborhoods. This largely residential area orderly arranged beside the Thames, is a treasure trove of quaint pubs, subtle architectural charms and local boutiques. Here, art lovers thrill at the chance to visit the world class Tate Britain gallery for its collection of British art from the 1500s to the present. For peace and quiet and some downtime spent along the Thames, Pimlico is highly recommended.
