This hotel is good...but for the price I would expect all the little extras to make it really great. E.g. there is a DVD player in the room, but no DVDs at reception to borrow. The room we had was also quite noisy from the street cleaning which started at 6am. more

My wife and I checked into the High Road House a couple of weeks ago. I had researched places to stay online and this "Mr and Mrs Smith" property looked really enticing. We were not disappointed. This is a small boutique hotel on Chiswick High Road. For those not familiar with Chiswick, it is a trendy "neighborhood" west of London.... more

I stayed at High Road House on Saturday night in April. The rooms are well appointed and nicely designed with very comfortable beds! I've given five stars for service because the night we stayed there the fire alarm went off at around 4am. All guests ended up stood on the street, freezing and waiting for the fire brigade. It turned... more

We had a wonderful and relaxing stay at High Road House. The service we received was excellent from all staff on check in and in the restaurant/bar. The room was spotless and had everything in it you could possibly need. The bathroom was amazing, huge infact and was full of cowshed products! The mini bar was well stocked and also... more

The rooms are spacious, the beds are very comfy, the shower was amazing. There is a cool bar in the basement with big screen, games etc.. Breakfast was nice. Not a cheap place to stay. And don't make the mistake we did - we arrived back drunk and ate two SMALL packets of crisps for which we were charged £6!!!... more

My husband and I stayed at the High Road House for 2 weeks in June. We had a wonderful experience there! High Road House rooms are available to the public, but the place is also a members-only restaurant/hotel/club. The hotel is small (14 rooms?) and very comfortable and clean. Our bathroom was spacious and my husband loved the massaging shower... more

On the Saturday night of our stay at approximately 4.30am water started pouring into the room through the light and fire safety fixtures. I had to contact reception repeatedly to get the staff to take action and when I asked for a different room I was told that there was none available. I then had to go and find the... more

I am tempted not to post this review, as this is such a class act, I want to keep it to myself. Halfway between Heathrow and town, I checked in early and was immediately shown my room. Ergonomic (ie reasonably small but entirely functional), stylish accomodation has everything it should - a great shower, a reasonable minibar, and fabulous linen... more

The hotel itself is fine- we had a large pleasant room, but found the ambiance a bit "precious" and we preferred to eat out in Chiswick , lots of choice. The worst problem is if you arrive by car they have no parking facility and we had to park our car on an adjacent street. parking is limited to 2... more

Rooms nice but not roomy. Dined in brasserie which was nice enough but our table was too close to the smoky bar and way too close to the plonker serving behind it (ozzie/kiwi?) Haven't seen such arrogance in such a mignon in a long time. more
