I stay at the Picton on a weekly basis as my work regularly brings me to central London. I can't fault this place for location, price or service. Gary & Dwight can't do enough for you & go way beyond the call of duty to help their guests (they see you more as a new friend). Plenty of bars, coffee... more

If you are looking for a great location, reasonable rate, a good night's sleep, safe neighbourhood, spotless room and fantastic staff, this is the place! The hotel is a few blocks from Paddington Station which is on the direct Heathrow Connect and Heathrow Express rail lines from the airport. We received a very warm welcome from our host, Gary who,... more

As this was our first trip to London we were unsure of what district to locate ourselves. The great reviews made the Picton House our choice. We had 5 days in which to explore London before heading to other parts of England and Scotland. On arrival at Heathrow we quickly found the train that took us directly to Paddington station... more

I chose this hotel (on internet) for my stay in London based on reader reviews, and on its location in one of my favorite parts of London,...the Sussex Gardens area, only two blocks to the Tube and Paddington Station (with its high-speed train to Heathrow.) Yes,...the room was small , as was the bathroom,..... (as expected in any London hotel),... more

My Dad and I traveled from Canada to London for his 70th Birthday. My Dad has never been to London and I knew he would feel uneasy being away from home, so when I read the reviews about the Mandalay, I thought it would be the perfect place for us to stay. Just as I thought, Dwight and his family... more

Great alround - few mins easy walk to the tube at Paddington - great value, smallish rooms and tiny shower, all clean and working order and comfy bed, just enough to eat fpr breakfast and as everyione says nice and friendly hosts. I have been to this hotel 3 times and plan another stay for next year. Mandalay Picton House is a small family-run hotel, which is always clean with fresh and hygienic rooms. The breakfast is served in a comfortable room and it is a wonderful start in the day. Even for people with allergy against special type of foods it... more
