Stayed in a tripe room myself and two more girls in a London girls weekend. Room was big and spacious, really only used it for sleeping. Even though it was facing the street it wasn't noisy. Hotel is right in Kensigton lovelly neighborhood surrounded by embassies and walking distance from Kensigton pk, Wholefoods and High Street Kensigton shops. Would go... More

Chose this hotel mainly for the location. £140 for a couple with breakfast. Room was massive by london standards, but we ended up in a disabled room with a walk in shower etc. but it was excellent. Very clean. Mini bar, hair dryer, tea facilities, tv etc all provided. Breakfast was superb, large buffet of hot food and a great... More

There are so many hotels in London all with great location and amenities. But I just want to emphasize the friendliness of the staff at this hotel. In particular, I'd like to commend Julieta Frontini and her colleague Laura Henriquez at the breakfast buffet. They are so friendly and eager to accommodate your wishes. Julieta, in particular, has been non-stop... More

We recently had a week in the NH Kensington while we explored London. It is a well situated hotel (5 minutes from Earl's Court tube station) with lots of shops and restaurants nearby. The rooms were spacious with queen beds. The breakfast (included in our rate) was excellent - attentive waitstaff, with option of eggs cooked any way you like... More

The NH Hotel Kensington is a very good location for public transport and local shops/pubs for meals. All of which are within walking distance. It is round 7/10 walk to the Earls Court underground Railway station which is on the Piccadilly line. There is also buses directly out the front door of the Hotel. Breakfast was included, and offered a... More

In September I stayed at this hotel for a week. The location is excellent, very accessible to public transportation, and there are some good restaurants in the area. The service always was very good, the room was large and very comfortable, and breakfast was great. From the moment we arrived we were received by a young lady named Carmen, a... More

Room was very clean. Very comfortable bed. Front desk employees were very nice and helpful. My room had a nice view of trees and the cute little outdoor sitting area they have. I ordered room service and it was was very good. I really liked the location. Walked to Kensington Palace and gardens. A lot of restaurants and shopping along... More

Staying in South Kensington

Neighborhood Profile
South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.
