Full disclosure - we had an awful travel experience to London, which left us out of sorts upon our arrival at Montagu Place Hotel. We were also coming off an unexpectedly spacious hotel experience in Amsterdam and were initially shocked at the cozy size of our room in London. Booked into one of the "comfy" rooms at Montagu Place Hotel,... More

Great location, can walk into Oxford street from The Montagu. Friendliest staff I have experienced in London. Rooms well equipped offering good ground coffee, Moulton Brown toiletries in bathrooms. Comfortable beds and great showers.

Having lived in London, I specifically sought out a boutique hotel in Marylebone. Montagu Place was in the perfect location in a quiet residential area within walking distance to Marylebone High Street, Regent's Park, Baker Street and Marylebone tube stations. It's a 20 minute walk to Oxford Street if you want to explore the city by foot. The hotel itself... More

This hotel set the scene for our joint wedding anniversary celebrations with the in-laws. The staff were wonderful, nothing too much trouble, they even gave us a complimentary glass of bubbly to start our celebrations off. The rooms were very comfortable with large bathrooms. We enjoyed a lovely breakfast, with excellent service.

That's my 5th hotel i stay at in london (my second time in this hotel). The best option for me: very good location, silent street, helpful and pleasant staff. Standard room is small but ok for several days (with bath shower and bed approx 160*200). Suite room is much better and bigger with a bath and as i remember a... More

I stayed here for one night for my boyfriends Birthday. It's in a lovely quiet location and we both has a good nights sleep! The bed was very comfortable and the room is beautifully decorated. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We didn't have breakfast as we woke up late, but it wasn't included in our rate anyways. There... More

We had stayed in this vicinity a couple of times previously but were delighted to find this place. Staff very welcoming, insisted on carrying our luggage up the three flights of stairs. Spotless and well equipped air conditioned room with a great bathroom, loads of instant hot water. Very quiet room at back of hotel, no traffic noise - which... More

We stayed here for two nights in July. The staff are very welcoming and helpful. Our room was fine although quite a climb to the 4th floor. No traffic noise as we were at the back of the hotel. Everywhere was clean and the continental breakfast looked good although we were room only and did not sample it. The Molton... More

Stayed 30/31 May as a base for a theatre weekend... Excellent small hotel, perfect room... All staff polite and attentive, nothing a problem... A short walk into Marlebone High Street with its local shops and bars/restaurants. Also a short walk to Baker St. underground and Marylebone stations... Highly recommended hotel.

Staying in Marylebone

Neighborhood Profile
Marylebone
Marylebone offers what so many London neighborhoods cannot: a village feel coupled with urban convenience. Much of its success rests in its location. Wedged between the northeastern corner of Hyde Park and the southern end of Regent's Park and with a number of Tube stations within easy reach, Marylebone is as pedestrian friendly as Central London gets. The bustling shopping mecca of Oxford Street separates it from Soho and Mayfair, exclusive Regent Street marks its border with Fitzrovia, and cosmopolitan Edgware Road serves as its western edge. Within this enviably situated quarter are an array of outstanding restaurants (from Michelin darlings to down and dirty cheeseburgers), an impressive assortment of independently owned shops, and some of the city's quietest and most pleasant nooks, crannies and cobbled lanes.
