I went to London this past November and stayed at Palmers Lodge Swiss Cottage. It took us a while to find it (we were new to London) but when we did we were surprised with how nice it looked. I had low expectations because the hostel we stayed in in Paris was nice, but the decor was outdated. We stayed... More

I found everything very clean, organized and efficient ... pity for the reception staff! I have been to palmers for a few day ,in the end of July 2014, then I met all the guys who work the front desk, and almost all of them are loafer and unkind..I happened requires information about the structure maybe twice a day to... My friend and I had never stayed in a hostel before so didn't know what to expect. It turns out we needn't have worried too much. The room we stayed in had 14 beds total, and despite this, the room was relatively clean, quiet and comfortable. The bathrooms were nice and clean also. I slept surprisingly well, and the beds... I am writing this review from a couple-around-their-thirties point of view, maybe not the best target group for a hostel, but I'd like to share our experience. To be fair, booking a hostel wasn't our first choice when visiting London, but travelling on a budget we decided to give it a go. We are not very experienced hostel users, and... More

Very beautiful hostel! Quite and good served, near bus stop and metro. The room was big and clean, the bed comfortable. There's a very nice pub, but not many things for breakfast if there's a lot of people

We spend the night here as a affordable alternative to pass the night in London. The hostel is very close to the jubilee line tube stations : Swiss Cottage and Finchley Road. The building itself is beautiful and the decoration is awesome. We arrived before the check in time and the girl in the entrance let us to leave our... More

Recently stayed at Palmers Lodge Swiss Cottage. All supermarkets/restaurants needed extremely closeby as well as two tube stations which we found extremely convienient. You'll be into the city centre within minutes! First night me and/my friend had to share a double bed in a roasting large dorm, annoying since we booked 2 singles literally months in advance! Other nights were... More

Palmer's Lodge reminded me of being in University dorm. Most rooms had bunk beds, we had to share bathrooms with everyone and was mostly occupied by young adults. The location was secluded from the attractions, but we ensured we selected a place located near a metro station. We didn't find any attractive restaurants around and usually ate before returning to... More

This was my first week in London starting here and I found the location good, Beds comfortable and clean and staff reasonably helpful. The common area is good with complimentary tea and coffee all day/Night (24 hour). Showers were on a 30 second timer which wasn't great but always hot and clean. The toilets/showers seemed to always be being cleaned... More

Hi, thanks for your review. We have installed the showers at 30 seconds tap for an enviromental reason, sometimes this can be a bit annoying but we hope that this did not couse major issue during your stay. If you are in London next time, please come and visit us again Best Regards More

For summertime in London, this place is quite cheap. Very convenient location, just a 2 minute walk from the station. Beds were handy with the curtains, and our 14 bed dorm was really quiet and safe. Breakfast was nothing special, but it was included in the price.
