Just 13 rooms above the pub, but they are large enough and very well appointed. Excellent beds, bathrooms, lighting, security. Jane at the desk is lovely. Only issue during the tennis is taht the parking lot becomes a huge party until midnight, so if noise bothers you it may be a problem. Fine breakfast in the restaurant, with attentive staff.... One of a number of Young's pubs in the Wimbledon Village/Common area, the Rose and Crown - an old Georgian coaching house - is probably the nicest building of the lot and fits perfectly into Wimbledon's slightly rural aesthetic. Inside, the pub is a tale of two halves: the front section feels very much like a traditional - albeit upmarket... More

Positives Rose & Crown Just next to Wimbledon Common. Ten Minutes from Wimbledon Station up Steep Wimbledon Hill . Right Side/Far end. Entrance-Round the back from the Car Park or just walk through main Pub doors. Nice Location. Good Breakfast/Friendly Staff. Handy for a drink/meal during the day until 11pm. Comfort of the bed was second to none. Bathroom was excellent - clean and modern. Despite being attached to a pub in a busy area of Wimbledon, the hotel and rooms are silent! There is a good selection for breakfast - you'll not leave hungry. Amazing!

Very nice, busy pub/hotel. Good range of beers and wines with nice food in the restaurant. Rooms recently renovated it seems resulting in a bigger-than-superking bed (I think). Certainly very comfortable. There is a small car park most of the time. Staff very friendly and helpful. Electronic taps in bathroom are interesting and the shower excellent - unfortunately the water... More

Dear Docski Many thanks for your review, we did notice that the Wi-Fi wasn't reaching all areas of the hotel and have installed an extra WiFi hotspot this week to help with the range of the WiFi this should solve the weak signal you experienced. We are happy you found the room comfortable during your stay, you are correct the... More

I stayed at the Rose and Crown in July 2014 last year. I wanted a location that was close to Wimbledon so that I would not have to travel far. This hotel was an excellent location, it was around 10-15 minutes walk, so it ticked the box. The room was tidy and clean. At night it was very noisy however... More

Another stay at this pub/hotel, this time with the family. So we got the largest room in the old part of the pub (room 9). Very spacious and comfortable. The sound insulation is not good though - you can hear a lot from upstairs, but this was built 500 years ago so it's kind of expected. Also the heating is... More

This is the fifth time we have stayed at the rose and crown. Usually we have been pretty pleased after staying here but not so much this time. We decided that we wanted a bigger room than we usually have had. Poor decision. First of all the room was extremely cold. The air condition didn't work properly and it made... More

We were very lucky to choose this pub for our weekend stay in Wimbledon. Not only did the staff provide a warm welcome, but so did the open fires on this damp November weekend. Our room was very big with a large, if not a little tired, en suite bathroom. The staff were very friendly & helpful, the menu had... More

Hi TerryBarton Many thanks for the kind words, we take pride in our fires in the cold winter afternoons and nights. Rugby International days are always very popular here at the Rose and Crown and always generates a good atmosphere for all our customers. I will pass on your comments to our chefs regarding your wonderful comments for breakfast and... More
