We visited the Grange St Pauls after I found a very good deal on a last minute booking site. We stayed here for my wife's birthday partially due to the attached spa. The room was large and spacious, we were on the 5th floor and had a great view of St Pauls lite up at night. They even gave us... More

I didn't think I would like The Grange when I looked it up online. My job puts people up here, and I've stayed other places in London. Just for some odd reason I wasn't impressed by what I saw on the website. They made up for it when I arrived though. The service was great, the dining options inside the... More

Stayed at this hotel after being advised by a friend who said if you want a really nice central hotel in London this is the one. Stayed 28th - 30th November for my husbands birthday which I had advised the hotel. Had a lovely room overlooking St Pauls, very quiet. Room was ready when we checked in at 2pm. After... More

The hotel is is in a great location as per every other review.... St Pauls, Millenium Bridge, walking to city establishments, tube/bus to West End or Westfield/Canary Wharf. Hotel is nice (although expensive) one downside is the lack of mobile reception in the rooms. Would stay if on business and expenses (ie phone bills) no problem.

I set out on a 10 day trip from Canada to explore London, York and Glasgow/Edinburgh and I have to say that staying at the Grange Hotel was fantastic. I found a great deal online at about $200CDN/night for a room here. It's close to the St Pauls tube station, which was really handy, and being able to walk out... More

This is a reasonable Hotel and given that we had a discounted rate I felt that it provided good value for money. + Great location, Polite and Friendly staff, good pool, comfortable beds and reasonably spacious rooms. Millennium bridge and ease of access to the South Bank. - Its a bit quite around the city after 9.PM Our room smelt... More

we booked three rooms and found some good rates considering it was close to Christmas so price was fair . Now there has been some commentary about this being a five star hotel, this must mean there is some undermining of the standard measures. It is not what I would call a five star , but a reasonable four star.... More

I intend to stay at St Paul's Grange again it’s in town but not caught up in the hustle and bustle of the London rat race and very peaceful and relaxing exactly what you want after a busy day!, The staff were very helpful and friendly nothing negative to say... Have stayed at this hotel on several occassions, the last being late November. What stands out: The hotel has a great location in the City opposite St Pauls and close to One New Change; The rooms are large by London standards and comfortable; The porters are fantastic! What needs improvement: The food in general could do with some improvement -... More

Staying in City of London

Neighborhood Profile
City of London
From its ancient past as a Roman trading outpost to its 21st century status as the wealthiest square mile in the world, the financial district known simply as “The City” is one of London's most historic and fascinating neighborhoods. Here high rise office towers such as Norman Foster’s Gherkin mingle with Roman ruins and architectural marvels from virtually every era in between, including Christopher Wren's glorious St.Paul's Cathedral, and John Soane's dauntingly classicist Bank of England. This neighborhood is also home to some of the finest restaurants and plushest hotels in Europe, in addition to an assortment of of watering holes, upscale shops, and Tube stations. During the week, the City is abuzz with white collar workers going about their business; the weekend sees this area turn into a quiet haven for sightseers.
