The hotel was fantastic, staff were very helpful and the food was amazing. However never book with lastminute.com as they cost more than booking direct with the hotel despite the price match promise. When asked to match the price they declined to do so.

Spent a night here, with my wife, and we could not find a fault. Staff friendly and courtious, room clean and smart, breakfast, fabulous. The hotel was recommended to me and I will recommend it too, unreservedly.

Upon being told how wonderful the staff at this hotel is from a friend who has stayed before and the Senior Business Development Director who I happened to meet at a charity event, I decided to book it. When I arrived I was told by the lovely woman at the desk that I had been upgraded to a much nicer... More

Just spent a great couple of days in the City of London. Hotel very convenient for the Museum of London, and Guildhall art gallery, with ruins of Londininium roman amphitheatre in basement. Also visited 2, Arundel Place, (Downton Abbey film location) about 20 mins walk away, to see the 'From Cotton to Gold' - an excellent exhibition and highly recommended.... More

So it is a 5 Star Hotel and has it all - supposedly. I guess I had an average Room, because that's just what it was. It took 5 steps to finally get to a TV channel. There was no Coffee machine in the Room. The toilet was not separate. I did not see the Gym area, so no opinion... More

Stayed here last week for my 30th birthday and booking as a secret hotel on lastminute.com (we paid £200 for a superior room for one night, two people, but not including breakfast) and had a great time! Whilst checking in the receptionist instantly upgraded us for free to an apartment as well as breakfast the following morning for us! The... More

We stayed in the Grange St Paul's on a Rooms for Romance package and had a really good time! We had stayed there before. A liitle hiccup at the beginning was quickly and courteously resolved. The massage we had booked was excellent as was the 3 course meal - lovely food and great service. We had booked a club room... More

I stayed at this hotel over the weekend. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful. The rooms were an amazing size. Having a king size bed, sofa and a well sized bath/shower. The hotel area/lobby was great, after a night out we ended up eating at the Grange. With 24 hours food service this was much needed. Around the Hotel,... More

Staying in City of London

Neighborhood Profile
City of London
From its ancient past as a Roman trading outpost to its 21st century status as the wealthiest square mile in the world, the financial district known simply as “The City” is one of London's most historic and fascinating neighborhoods. Here high rise office towers such as Norman Foster’s Gherkin mingle with Roman ruins and architectural marvels from virtually every era in between, including Christopher Wren's glorious St.Paul's Cathedral, and John Soane's dauntingly classicist Bank of England. This neighborhood is also home to some of the finest restaurants and plushest hotels in Europe, in addition to an assortment of of watering holes, upscale shops, and Tube stations. During the week, the City is abuzz with white collar workers going about their business; the weekend sees this area turn into a quiet haven for sightseers.
