A great location but this is certainly not a 5 star hotel! The rooms were clean and fairly average but extremely hot, the aircon reading was 27 degrees and the control didn't seem to have any effect! We had dinner and the service was appalling and slow. As a group of 12 we were told that we had to have... More

I have stayed a couple of times at the Grange St Paul's when in London on business. It's a great location - right in the middle of the City, so easy for most business trips, but also a good tourist base, as it's right by St Paul's, Tate Modern, the Globe etc. The Underground connections are great, as you have... There's no way this place can have 5 stars. Okay, in London only... Rooms are smelly and old, although clean. I was upgraded to an executive room which turned out to be a room for disabled person, not too convenient for me. It was also equipped with different types of women magazines so 'know your customer' is not about this... More

We stayed here with friends for the weekend as it had been highly recommended. The room, 415, was OK but nothing to right home about. It had one window that looked over the restaurant area on the inside of the building and did not open. The bed was large and comfy but that is where the positive review ends I'm... More

Stayed for 2 nights, great hotel in a lovely location opposite St Pauls Cathedral. Hotel very clean with excellent staff. Room facilities great & good atmosphere in main bar area. Breakfast selection excellent and all areas kept very clean and tidy throughout service. We stayed in Room 601 which had 3 huge picture windows one of which had an amazing... More

Stayed here for a night as we were attending an event in London. It is ideally centered for visits to the city (for those that don't know London, the city is the business district of London rather than the west end which is the social district) being right next to St Paul's. The hotel itself has lots of great facilities... More

A very modern hotel, just opposite St Paul's , very easy to find underground station is the other side of St Paul's. We stayed due to going to a banquet in London, a very warm welcome from reception, as we had stayed before at this hotel our room was upgraded! An all night bar is found on the ground floor.... We have stayed several times at the Grange, and always find the experience good. The location, within a stone's throw of St. Paul's Cathedral and 5 minutes from the Millennium Bridge make it a great place to use as a base for exploring the City. Our check-in experience was exceptional this time, with the person more than willing to offer... More

Following a great stay at the Grange Holburn in January me and my partner decided to try out The grange St. Paul's and we were taken back at just how much better it was! First of all the location was great and we were impressed at the structure of the hotel. The room was stylish, well equipped and provided a... More

Staying in City of London

Neighborhood Profile
City of London
From its ancient past as a Roman trading outpost to its 21st century status as the wealthiest square mile in the world, the financial district known simply as “The City” is one of London's most historic and fascinating neighborhoods. Here high rise office towers such as Norman Foster’s Gherkin mingle with Roman ruins and architectural marvels from virtually every era in between, including Christopher Wren's glorious St.Paul's Cathedral, and John Soane's dauntingly classicist Bank of England. This neighborhood is also home to some of the finest restaurants and plushest hotels in Europe, in addition to an assortment of of watering holes, upscale shops, and Tube stations. During the week, the City is abuzz with white collar workers going about their business; the weekend sees this area turn into a quiet haven for sightseers.
