The hotel is nice, very modern but it just seems like a robot on auto-drive. Cleaners desperate to get you out of the room so they can do a quick tidy, staff sticking to the handbook and not willing to be helpful. The only saving grace in the robot like hotel was the spa. Massage by Alexandra who was superb.... More

I was a little concerned about a hotel in the heart of London as I would have expected a tiny room with traffic noise. This was not the case. Very beautiful room, quiet and actually a fairly nice sized room. Staff was very friendly and helpful and made for a very enjoyable stay. Ask to stay in the main hotel... More

We said we'd stay again after our first stay last November(2014)well we did and thoroughly enjoyed it again. We stayed for 3 nights with a super offer from the hotels website, including continental breakfast. We were upgraded to an executive room, don't know if previous room was?but this one faced onto the Atrium, previously had a outside room. Regardless it didn't spoil anything... More

Excellent value and very comfortable room. Just stayed for one night for a party nearby and was pleasantly surprised at the discounted rate. The room was good and the reception desk was efficiently staffed with pleasant staff.

Spent a night here for a break in London. Hotel was ok, rooms were small with loud aircon. Bed was two singles pushed together, so comfortable but sloped towards the middle. Pool and spa were small. This is probably standard for London. Great location though, St Pauls was just across the road, Southbank (Tate etc) was very close.

We got a fantastic last minute deal staying over after a trip to the Proms. Great location right by St Paul's cathedral with easy access to South Bank ,Tate Modern, Shard, Borough Market. Great room. Modern bathroom with separate (fab) shower and bath. Great to have access to pool and leisure facilities all day. Room quiet. Great variety breakfast (although... More

We traveled in a group of 50 plus and stayed here for 3 days. The whole experience was perfect. Great location, Wonderful breakfast, and I appreciated all the little extras in the room, i.e.: coffee, iron, and lots of plugs for electronics. The hotel is convenient for use of the Tube, and lots of pubs, restaurants are also near by.

We got a special offer from Last Minute.com and were more than pleased with everything, I had stayed here before so was not disappointed. The spa facilities were I never ate in the restaurant but the bar food was really good. You are a few minutes from the tube station so handy for everything. The staff were really nice and... More

Staying in City of London

Neighborhood Profile
City of London
From its ancient past as a Roman trading outpost to its 21st century status as the wealthiest square mile in the world, the financial district known simply as “The City” is one of London's most historic and fascinating neighborhoods. Here high rise office towers such as Norman Foster’s Gherkin mingle with Roman ruins and architectural marvels from virtually every era in between, including Christopher Wren's glorious St.Paul's Cathedral, and John Soane's dauntingly classicist Bank of England. This neighborhood is also home to some of the finest restaurants and plushest hotels in Europe, in addition to an assortment of watering holes, upscale shops, and Tube stations. During the week, the City is abuzz with white collar workers going about their business; the weekend sees this area turn into a quiet haven for sightseers.
