This hotel ticked all the boxes, comfortable, friendly staff, efficient and a goid atmosphere. We stayed here for a weekend break so the price was right as we didn't have to pay business rates. Whilst slightly outside they normal tourist areas access was simple as it is close to the Central line and the locations also allowed us to visit... More

Celebrating our Wedding Anniversary with a visit to London for an operatic supper. The hotel provided us with complimentary cupcakes. The room was very spacious, clean and comfortable. The bathroom and the shower with fantastic water pressure was sublime. The room however was a little on the cold side and no obvious way to increase the temperature apart from turning... More

An extremely modern hotel with excellent restaurant, bar and spa with pool. Its close to many local attractions (mostly walkable) so getting around is not a problem. Room size acceptable with a very comfortable bed. I would definitely stay at this hotel again and would not hesitate in recommending.

We stayed for 1 night - we were upgraded to an executive room - which was very spacious. The staff were very helpful and knowledgeable and at the complimentary continental breakfast they were very attentive. The hotel has a spa and fitness facilities sadly we did not have time to use them - next time! Good position for sight seeing... More

average business hotel. Efficient service, nice bar and restaurant areas. Lovely pool and gym. Very central, lots of shops, restaurants, etc. rooms are pristine, a good size and very comfortable. If your not there on business, it could be a bit clinical and soulless.

Stayed here for 3 nights on our return from Las Vegas. Even tho the airline lost our luggage and we arrived empty handed , the staff couldn't do enough for us. Giving us toiletries and even offering a discount on dry cleaning. Although this all put a dampner on things the Hotel is Beautiful, the rooms are spaceous and well... More

Check-in was very easy with helpful and attentive staff. I used the spa facilities in the afternoon and it was very pleasant, although one of the steam rooms was out of service for maintenance, but I guess it has to be fixed some-when. The room was very quiet and comfortable, the City of London at a weekend is very quiet... More

Fabulous weekend in the middle of London right next to St Paul's Cathedral but soooo quiet and comfortable in the room, couldn't here any noise from other rooms, the corridor or outside apart from the muffled chiming of St Pauls which didn't wake us up. The staff were all lovely, discreetly attentive and helpful. At breakfast we could see how... More

My wife and I stayed in the hotel for two nights and found the hotel extremely comfortable, had excellent amenities and the staff were everything you would expect from a 5 star hotel. However, I do have one complaint, the Full English breakfast is £23 and the food and options are excellent but I do like to eat a cooked... More

A very nice modern hotel, contemporary design with a pleasant feel that didn't feel cold unlike some modern hotels. Within easy walking distance of the St Paul's Cathedral, Thames, Tate Modern and Covent Garden.

Staying in City of London

Neighborhood Profile
City of London
From its ancient past as a Roman trading outpost to its 21st century status as the wealthiest square mile in the world, the financial district known simply as “The City” is one of London's most historic and fascinating neighborhoods. Here high rise office towers such as Norman Foster’s Gherkin mingle with Roman ruins and architectural marvels from virtually every era in between, including Christopher Wren's glorious St.Paul's Cathedral, and John Soane's dauntingly classicist Bank of England. This neighborhood is also home to some of the finest restaurants and plushest hotels in Europe, in addition to an assortment of of watering holes, upscale shops, and Tube stations. During the week, the City is abuzz with white collar workers going about their business; the weekend sees this area turn into a quiet haven for sightseers.
