Decent hotel in the busy city district. Definitely convenient only if you are on business trip and your office is somewhere nearby. Overall OK hotel, though the standard room is small, which is usually the case in almost any hotel in London. Lobby bar is not bad. Staff is friendly and helpful. Room was clean. Bad was comfortable. Can recommend... More

This is a modern hotel with large rooms, beautiful lobby and access to many amenities. The bar is great and open late. Good for business travellers. It is steps away from the Millenium Bridge, St. Paul's Cathedral, Tate Modern Museum (across the Millenium Bridge).

I love staying at the Grange St Paul's. Lovely breakfast included in the room rate, something you don't often find in London. This hotel also has the best gym hands down of ANY hotel that I have ever staid in. To top it all its a stones throw from st Paul's, theTate Modern and lots and lots of tube stations.... More

We had a great time here. This is a more business section of London next to the St Paul church. The included breakfast was very nice. Hotel Lobby very impressive. It is also a 10 minute walk across the river from the Globe theater.

We travelled as a group of 4 to go and see Les Mis and had afternoon tea at the hotel. The hotel is bright and airy and afternoon tea was very pleasant. The rooms are a good size and the beds very large and comfortable. The reason that I have given a poor review is because when we returned from... More

Great hotel and location with good standard of room and nice little touches in the room such as chocolates. Room service was very quick and reasonably priced. Downside was the mini bar wouldn't open and slightly grumpy bag check in clerk, seemed too busy and at times felt ignored. 4/5 and would return due to generally great stay, nice room... More

Fantastic location, friendly staff. Nice spa and pool area. Short walk to the restaurant and across the road from St. Paul's cathedral. I would definitely go back again and recommend to anyone thinking of a good place to stay in London

This is a stretch for a five star; even for a four. Bathroom is tiny. Shower is too small to turn around in. Room is dreary. Not much natural light. Furniture a little worn. Staff is friendly but doesn't go out of its way. I changed rooms because the first room I was given was tiny, dark, at street level,... More

Staying in City of London

Neighborhood Profile
City of London
From its ancient past as a Roman trading outpost to its 21st century status as the wealthiest square mile in the world, the financial district known simply as “The City” is one of London's most historic and fascinating neighborhoods. Here high rise office towers such as Norman Foster’s Gherkin mingle with Roman ruins and architectural marvels from virtually every era in between, including Christopher Wren's glorious St.Paul's Cathedral, and John Soane's dauntingly classicist Bank of England. This neighborhood is also home to some of the finest restaurants and plushest hotels in Europe, in addition to an assortment of watering holes, upscale shops, and Tube stations. During the week, the City is abuzz with white collar workers going about their business; the weekend sees this area turn into a quiet haven for sightseers.
