We were perfectly located just in front of the Kings Cross station but the room was pretty poor. The bedding and the ground were a bit dirty, the bathroom very small, the alarm rang at 8am without any explaination. You can take this hotel if you don't spend too much time in your bedroom because you will be at 2... More

Just wanted to add a review that wasn't all negative. I booked to stay two nights at The Excelsior Hotel. After seeing the reasonable prices for London (everywhere seems to be at least £100 per night in a half decent location) I had a look on trip advisor after I'd booked, which was a huge mistake, I was then worried... This hotel isn't bad for the money, the location is good. The rooms were clean. My only criticism would be that having a room on the top floor meant it was like a suana. Try and avoid this if possible.

This hotel is very close to Kings Cross station about 3 mins walk, but in a quite residential area. Rooms reasonable size, bathroom small but adequate for needs, very clean and comfortable. Breakfast very good was expecting just a continental but full english was offered. All staff very friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay hear again.

The hotel is actually several hotels operated by one company and the rooms vary depending on which particular room or flat you get. We had a group traveling with us, so some of us had nicer rooms than others. The rooms are a bit small and 4 of us shared one bathroom, but we managed. The breakfast was good and... More

I have planned the trip for like almost a year. First of all, the room for our first night was cancelled but I've called to confirm my reservation. The staff gave us 4 a very very small room for compensation and they felt no sorry nor good intention for us. Luckily, one lady spoke for us and we had our... More

I admit to being a little apprehensive about our stay having read some less than complimentary reviews, but I was very pleasantly surprised. The staff were friendly and helpful, the room and bathroom were spotlessly clean and the bed very comfortable. Sure it's compact and the bathroom is small, but what do you expect for a budget price tag in... More

I would advise anyone thinking of booking this accommodation to think again. Upon arrival with a group of clients, we went to reception to check in. The information we had clearly stated that we could check in from 11am. We were then told that we had to wait until 2pm to check in and that we 'should have known' this.... More

We were booked in at the Excelsior, but were taken round the corner to the Albion House. It's part of the same group, but it wasn't made clear at the time of booking that you may be put up in any of the group's other hotels. The room was N0.13, which turned out to be at the top of six... More

As a young travel agent from Australia I have experienced both budget and expensive hotels and resorts. For the price we paid for this I cannot believe the standard - although we paid a cheap price for London (as the prices in London are outrageous!) it still seems to me to not at all be worth the money. We paid... More

Dear Guest Thanks for your review There are certainly issues where we could have done better ; and we appreciate you pointing them out to us . We have now fixed the problem regarding the ceiling. Let me also point out that we did give the option of another room in an adjacent hotel if wanted it. We did not... More
