I stayed here for 3 nights, we had booked the "Double Superior Deluxe Bedroom" thinking that it would be a good size with a nice bathroom, however we received a "Standard Double". Photos looked lovely and the price was reasonable. We arrived and were told we would be on the top floor, reached our room which was practically in the... More

We used this hotel purely as a cheap base to visit the main sights of London, which worked well. Whilst the hotel entrance looks very plush, the rooms do not stand up to comparison, not that we expected them to!! But room was very small, also, the sash cjord window was jammed fully open and wouldn't close... good job it... More

Where do I begin?? .. I've stayed in a good amount of hotels, b&b, etc. And this is by far the worst. FACT. The first room we went into wasnt clean. Bed was messy, wet towels on the bed, and the window was wide open to try and get the smell of weed out. Yes. The room stunk of weed.... More

My stay in the Excelsior Hotel is actually one of the main reasons I disliked London so much. I arrived at the hotel at about half 8 in the morning to check in and to leave my bags. I was welcomed by a friendly staff member who told me that my room would be ready by 1 o clock which... More

they renewed the place for breakfast grealty improving it! loved it! the rooms are a bit small, but enough for a few nights after long walking days. it is on walking distance from several various tourism atractions and being this close to kings cross broadens the possibilities

Room was meant to be family room, it was 2 double beds crammed in, a basement room situated at front of hotel, meaning when guests go outside to smoke it is heard and smelled in the room! No air conditioning or fan on a hit summers night meant we had to have the windows open. The room also was only... More

We stayed there because we need to be in the train station rather early, so this location is perfect, short walking distance from hotel to train station. The room is tiny, but it fits 4 of us, so we are happy.

Right next door to Kings Cross St. Pancras means you're close enough to access everything but the room was tiny. Thankfully we didn't want to spend too much time in the room. They were happy to hold our bags for us both before and after our stay which was helpful.

The pics posted on their site show only the better standard of rooms, and the better standard shower and toilet facilities. The basic room is so bad you have no room to swing a cat or even a kitten. Rough toilet and shower facilities.

We were perfectly located just in front of the Kings Cross station but the room was pretty poor. The bedding and the ground were a bit dirty, the bathroom very small, the alarm rang at 8am without any explaination. You can take this hotel if you don't spend too much time in your bedroom because you will be at 2... More
