We stayed in one of the suites at the hotel during a company weekend event with spouses. The hotel is truly fantastic. Great style with a mixture of post traditional and modern and the room we stayed in was awesome. Very spacious with a beed, sitting area and a room with a desk. The bathroom was all with Carrara marble... More

We spent a lovely two and a half hours taking afternoon tea at the Café Royal. The ambience was first class, with very comfortable chairs, live piano playing, beautiful surroundings enhanced by the mirrored walls, personable service - and great food. There was a good range of savoury items before the scones and cakes were presented. In addition there was... More

I love staying at this hotel as its position in london is so close to everything and when you step into the hotel there is an immediate relaxing and calm after the busy Regent St. The service is perfect... combination of friendly and excellence... best in London hands down. Jenny and Steve in the restaurant cannot be more helpful... so... More

Stayed for one night in a nicely appointed, oak panelled, delux guestroom; Pro's: - Location, on regent street and close to bond street shopping - Luxury atmosphere, high-end detailing of rooms and furniture - Room facilities: wifi, minibar assortment, oversized bathroom, bedding is excellent - Nice facilities, green bar really nice, spa/swimming pool well maintained, though prefer the spa/gym at... This historical and elegant hotel offers a modern and sophisticated interior design as well as excellent services, in particular the spa. We had the chance to go to the luxurious Dome Penthouse which is very quiet and offers a stunning view on Piccadilly Circus, Big Ben and the Parliament. The staff is very courteous and thoughtful, especially Miss Clara F.... More

Stayed only one night but made full use of the facilities. The spa is amazing and fully equipped gym, pool, steam room, sauna and private hammam. Breakfast was delicious, the best scrambled eggs and salmon I've had at a hotel. My only gripe would be the lighting controls are a bit fiddly and disappointed they don't have a better music... After constantly walking by the iconic Café fronting Regent Street, I decided to stay at Café Royal to surprise my boyfriend on his 26th birthday. When I made the reservation, I notified the staff that it was for such an occasion and was promptly contacted by the host, Clara, via email in arranging the stay to make it a bit... More

The location of the Café Royal, right on Piccadilly is perfect! You are within a walking distance from many London attractions and yet the rooms are very quite. If you like a modern decoration with high tech in the rooms, this is the place to stay. Press a button to open the light curtains, press another one to close the... More

This hotel is a rare treat. For once one does not have the impression of being in a chain, but in a unique jewel situated in an incomparable location right at the bottom of Regent Street. Not for the budget traveler, certainly, but for those with the means this is a stylish, other-worldly haven of peace and harmony in the... More

Staying in Soho

Neighborhood Profile
Soho
The go-to district for a good time in London, Soho hosts a wealth of world-class theatres and a compelling lineup of cafes, restaurants, pubs, bars, and clubs. At Soho's core is London's original Red Light District and the epicenter of the LGBT scene – and thus the city's hottest nightlife. For shopping enthusiasts, Soho is not only the home of London's greatest concentration of boutique shops, but also the most strategic place to set off on a tour of the world's most celebrated department stores. In the southern part of the neighborhood lies Chinatown, with its multitude of delicious and affordable restaurants. Closer to the Thames, Chinatown's narrow and teeming lantern-lit lanes spill onto the expansive hub of glitzy Leicester Square.
