My parents stayed in the "hotel" for 4 nights and I regret having booked it for them. The room was clean, but not to be considered as a double,as it was advertised(it only had a double bed,but the space was really limited. The wardrobe was a joke(a foldable one, probably from IKEA), the heating worked only a few hours during the day,... More

I spent just one night at the Hour Glass Hotel, with my fiancée. The staff was very, very sympathetic - but unfortunately I forgot the name of the girl (I am really sorry for this...). Our hostess offered an electrical plug adapter, presented us the whole place - and the breakfast was superb. We did run into some trouble -... More

I stayed at the Hour Glass Hotel in August. The check-in was located in the pub. The people running the hotel were very helpful and nice. I had a room with my own bathroom which was a bit small. Although that should be expected given the price of the hotel. The location isn't that great but there is a bus... More

Arrived later on the Sunday for a week at London Tower offices. Reception in adjoining bar (only comment!). Checked in by Daniel (Inter Milan fan) and was extremely friendly. Room was twin bunk room with shared toilets / showers. Room was spotless!! and had everything I needed including fridge. Showers and Toilets were immaculate!!! The shared kitchen is also fantastic... The hotel itself was nice. The room was comfortable. Had flatscreen TV, DVD player, kettle with tea and coffee, ensuite bathroom etc. If they could pick this hotel up and drop it somewhere else it would be great. The area its in severely lets it down. Its literally in the middle of the slummiest council estate I've ever witnessed. We... More

The staff is very helpful and the rooms are clean. The bathrooms have been recently refurbished and the kitchen is dreamland. Transportation is OK, with a bus line in front that will take you to E&Castle in 10 min. It may be a bit noisy during the day. The area is residential, with a High Street w/ big Tesco on... More

The staff at Hour Glass really took care of me and my two friends, best staff! The sharing bathrooms where very clean! Modern and very nice shower. Same with the kitchen, very modern and fresh! The room was small but had everything it said it would have! It was worth every penny and we would definitely stay again! Love, the... More

Having read some good reviews on the Tripadvisor, I called up late (0030 hrs)to check if the room was available. Lucky me, the staff was very polite and provided me ensuite room with no extra price. Small size room with all the essentials fitted and good value for money. I had a peaceful sleep and felt comfortable and safe during... More

This is budget accommodation which is great value for money for London. The rooms are adequate and the beds were clean and comfortable. The area seems a little daunting at first but is okay, you just need to keep yourself safe like in any major city. My only criticism is the bathrooms could have been kept cleaner and a few... More

Chose this place for the price but when we got there and got into the pub and the reception, we had to wait for a long time to be helped and once someone came to help she look trough papers for a really long time and went back and forth. When she showed us our room she was kind enough... More
