The Owners are opportunistic, money grabbers, I booked a 2 night stay, 4 weeks before travelling and then a hospital appointment meant I wanted to cancel. They had a 'no refund policy' (understandable if booking and cancelling within a few days but 4 weeks come on). They strung me and Late Rooms along for the 4 weeks , even requiring... More

After reading some of these reviews I was a bit sceptical about my stay but I guess we were just lucky, apart from the many stairs to climb our room was lovely, fair sized bathroom, chocolates on the pillow and the towells in the shape of a swan on the bed. It was clean and comfortable and the staff where... More

My grandson and I booked this (hotel)!!! in order to be in london for a football match. On arriving friday morning 11 oclock to maybe just leave our luggage, we found it closed. At 12-30 we got in via the not so nice bar. When we eventually were allowed into our room we found it filthy with no bed covers.... More

I arrived and was surprised to find it clean and tidy with an eclair on the pillow. There ends the good. The "en suite" is the size on my built in wardrobe at home, be prepared to bang your head as you bend down to pick up anything in the shower, and bang your knees when using the loo. That... More

Disaster. Stay Away from this place. Very unfriendly, rude, arrogant woman who claims to be a receptionist. Wasnt even allowed to shower during a two day stay. This is advertised as but Not a hotel. It is a rip off to say the least. The pub is smelly with dirt rooms upstairs. Waste of money staying here.

I've stayed in better, cleaner hostels than this hotel! The beds hasn't been changed and were far from clean-I slept fully clothed! Breakfast was small packets of corn flakes, very very noisy pub downstairs. It was totally disgusting! Not even any soap in the barroom and the towels-I've thrown away better ones! The only good thing about this dump is... More

It's difficult to know where to start on the bad points of this hotel. How on earth it's even earned 2 stars is beyond me. If you book a 2 star room, you know you're not getting the Hilton and that it's probably going to be very basic. But the Beaconsfield... Basic doesn't even cover it. I don't mind places... More

We booked a room at this hotel via Booking.Com. The room cost was £67.50 but we opted to pay the £75 which allowed us to cancel free up until 3 days before our stay on 20th April. It also stated that no pre-payment would be taken. We were in London to see our son run in the London Marathon on... More

Was a little sceptical about this place but for what we needed (working at a local Leisure Centre) was all we needed. Basic but Honest. It was warm and had all the facilities we needed. A place to sleep whilst working away. Some excellent Kebab shops nearby as this area is highly populated by Turks
