The bed was uncomfortable the bathroom close but messy. The breakfast basic. It was hard to block out the street light. Location us fantastic in central London. Staff were very helpful. It's £47 per night for a solo room so by London standards that's very cheap.

Thank you for writing your review on Trip Advisor. I am sorry that you found the bed uncomfortable. Had you reported this to our reception staff during your stay, they would have done their best to find you a different bed in an alternative room. I will forward your comment about a messy bathroom on to our cleaning staff. All... More

Stayed in room 328 on Satrday 21st March 2015. Payed £47.00 bed and breakfast. Room was basic but very clean. It had a comfortable bed, wardrobe, sink, desk with desk light and swivel chair. It was quite roomy. Easy big enough for another bed. Considering it was very cold outside, the room was nice and warm. Cooked breakfast was good.... More

It is really cool that the LSE dorm turns into a hotel during school breaks. They are the cheapest (non hostel) hotels in London. This is the 2nd LSE property that I have stayed at. I only stayed one night between flights. I was very pleased with the hotel, bathrooms, staff and location. It is only a 10 minute walk... More

First remember this is a student hall of residence so don't expect luxury. You get a very basic clean room, in my case with shared shower facilities. But it's excellent value for a central London location and the breakfast is good. If you want a budget stay in central London you could do a lot worse.

I really do not know where to start to be honest. From the begining of my stay at this place to the end, everything was wrong. First the people at the reception are a bunch of students who did not learn the expression "to be polite". Never heard the word hello, when you ask for something it feel like you... More

We stayed one night here, we were surprised how quiet it was in our room in the night. It's obviously a very basic room but we still had to pay £88 for the room, a tad too much I think. The place is like a rabbit warren, I dread to think what would happen if there was a fire? The... More

I had a very satisfactory 5 night stay here. It’s probably a bit less “closer to the action” than other LSE residences, but still an easy 20 minute walk to Covent Garden, and literally across the road from Sadlers Wells theatre. I even had a nice view of St Paul’s Cathedral from my room. It’s in a more residential area... More

I booked this for a 2 night stay; the main reason for choosing this was I was looking for a triple room for myself and two friends and this seemed to be one of the few places with a triple room available, also I had to be at the Barbican fairly early on the Saturday morning and it was quite... I stayed in the Rosebery Hall for 4 days alone (girl) while visited London. I was perfectly happy with everything and of course I knew that It's not the Ritz. I didn't regret the booking here. I felt absolutely safe. I arrived late night, the check in was fast and the lady on the reception was welcoming. The location is... More

Staying in Clerkenwell

Neighborhood Profile
Clerkenwell
Owing to its proximity to Smithfield Market – the site of an ancient meat market which remains in operation today – Clerkenwell boasts a plethora of globally renowned restaurants, fabulous local eateries, and some of London's favorite pubs. This isn't merely a focal point for all things foodie though. Spend enough time wondering through the area's maze of streets and you might become accustomed to the litany of slinky models passing between Clerkenwell's handful of fashion houses. Far outnumbering the models are craftspeople and designers, many of them are more than happy to welcome visitors into their studios and showrooms.
