Standard Travelodge decor and room standard. No issues with hotel itself and location good for meetings I was at. I was in room 4 which is ground floor in a kind of annexe. It may have been an accessible room but not sure. Any way it was partly below street level and meant the small window was at street level... More

This is the first time i have stayed in this travelodge but as all the other travelodges i have stayed in it was excellent! This one is close to tower hill so you can get to where ever you want to go plus its an amazing price for a London hotel even on a Saturday night!

Wow, the cost of our 2 night stay was ludicrously cheap. A standard Travelodge but the staff were superb ...helpful, friendly ,humerus . The downside ....we were in room 205 and 207. No aircon switched on and so close to the rail lines that I couldn't sleep with the window open . For the money , it was fabulous but... More

Nicely decorated and quite business 4th floor rooms. Felt modern and was in a good state of repair. Convenient for Tower Bridge area and Aldgate. Breakfast was warm and filling. Service very welcoming and room very comfortable.

Stayed for one night & it couldn't have been easier to reach from the tube, just a short distance from Aldgate East tube. Not the prettiest place but everybody was so helpful. Book on the side opposite the train track as its quieter.

I'm currently at Travelodge now and it is by far the worst hotel I've had the misfortune of staying in. The room is situated above a rail line with trains literally every few seconds. I turned on the TV but the remote is very temperamental and there's very few grainy channels with incredibly unclear pictures. I tried to warm my... More

Whilst this hotel is not ideally placed (by a railway line and down a dark street) my stay here was a very good experience. The room was comfortable, the food was good and all the staff were very friendly.

I am not sure whether other reviewers had rooms on the railway side of the hotel, but I didn't and so apart from a noisy delivery van around 6am I had a great night's sleep. Considering it is only a couple of minutes further away from Tower Hill underground than the other Travelodge I would happily stay here again. It... More

Staying in Whitechapel

Neighborhood Profile
Whitechapel
Whether you're here for its dynamic street life, world class galleries or famed curry houses, you're bound to be wowed by the uniquely cosmopolitan flavor of Whitechapel. Long gone are the days when Jack the Ripper stalked its streets. And despite his mysterious legacy bringing throngs of curiosity driven tour groups to its back alleys and otherwise serene garden squares, these days you're more likely to catch a cutting edge fashionista scurrying through its age old lanes than criminals of any sort.
