Stayed here in sept 2014 and had a free upgrade to a deluxe suite. Only a stones throw from tower bridge and is in an ideal location for sightseeing. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly and all in all it was a lovely place to stay. P.s The bed was super comfortable!

I stayed at the Apex City of London whilst visiting the city for a theatre break with my friend. FIRST IMPRESSIONS & RECEPTION - first impressions of the hotel were very good. We were welcomed by the doorman who greeted us and directed us to the reception for check in. The reception staff were very friendly and professional. We were... More

Myself and my parents stayed in this hotel for 3 nights in March for my mums 50th birthday trip. On arrival we were greeted with lovely, friendly staff and were advised our rooms had been upgraded which was a brilliant surprise! On heading up to our rooms, which turned out to be fantastic, we were greeted at our doors with... More

We really enjoyed our stay here. Having arrived very early before the normal check in time, the receptionist was more than happy to look after our luggage, but before hand she checked if our room was available, it wasn't, but she informed us that we had been given a free upgrade to a junior suite. Which was a really nice... More

Stayed here for a couple of nights to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The staff are some of the best I've encountered in any hotel and all of them were friendly, happy and efficient. We were upgraded to a Deluxe Double and found the room to be spacious and well equipped. The front of house manager had left prosecco, chocolates and... More

Stayed at this hotel for one night in February, although after checking out was told my £25 deposit would be returned as I had not ordered room service or damaged anything.... After 2 weeks of not receiving it back I contacted reception and they simply ignored my emails!!! The people on the phone at Apex were also useless and couldn't... More

I have had a range of mixed experiences with accommodation in London. But I stayed here for a week for a work trip and found this hotel to be an excellent choice (especially if you are in the insurance business) due to its location to the major London market offices and Lloyds. From a tourist perspective, its very close to... More

Stayed here a couple of times over the weekend so no issue with noise outside the hotel. Good rooms relaxing hotel love Apex hotels in London this is near Tower Bridge so if you are driving you can park in The Minories to avoid conjestion charging. Near tube so no issues getting into central London. Overall great hotel.

Staying in City of London

Neighborhood Profile
City of London
From its ancient past as a Roman trading outpost to its 21st century status as the wealthiest square mile in the world, the financial district known simply as “The City” is one of London's most historic and fascinating neighborhoods. Here high rise office towers such as Norman Foster’s Gherkin mingle with Roman ruins and architectural marvels from virtually every era in between, including Christopher Wren's glorious St.Paul's Cathedral, and John Soane's dauntingly classicist Bank of England. This neighborhood is also home to some of the finest restaurants and plushest hotels in Europe, in addition to an assortment of of watering holes, upscale shops, and Tube stations. During the week, the City is abuzz with white collar workers going about their business; the weekend sees this area turn into a quiet haven for sightseers.
