Value for money considers the location near King's Cross station which is around 3-5 minutes’ walk! Very satisfied with the room i.e. clean, coffee/tea, comfy bed and nice deco (booked an en-suite family room facing the garden). Good wifi connection. The only downside is the sink so small you can't wash face/brush teeth properly, no full length mirror or mirror... More

My partner and I visited near Christmas. Price was reasonable. Room was very very small. Reminded me of a cube hotel I'd been to in Birmingham. The staff were quite curt, though this is London. They had tried to jazz the place up a bit, hence the pictures do look nice. Don't expect to enjoy your time at the hotel... More

I stayed for one night to spend time with my son who lives in Campden. The hotel was very smart and the room was comfortable and clean with a very nice ensuit shower room. I will certainly stay again. The price was very good for this part of London.

This hotel is across from a lovely park. It is also very close to St. Pancras, King's Cross and Euston stations. That's why we stayed there. The room was very small. I was trapped against the wall. Also, we couldn't hang our clothes up. There weren't enough hangers and the "closet" is very small. There are plenty of receptacles and... More

Bedroom was very small with nowhere to store luggage. Bathroom was tiny with a basin too small to be practical, positioned under a small cabinet so impossible to clean teeth or wash your face without getting water all over the floor, hitting your head on the cabinet or, most frequently, both. Room was incredibly hot and stuffy. A desk fan... More

Positives- great location, clean rooms, lovely style, good shower, wifi, fresh sheets, able to leave luggage the next day while you tour the city, close to train station and tube, everything you need for an overnight stay. Negatives - rooms are compact probably wouldn't want to stay if you spend long periods of time in the room but as we... More

Travelled as a family of 4, this is a no go. Melville Hotel was the reception for Excelsior Hotel, but I wouldn't recommend this too because before we arrived, they told us that we would check into Albion House. However, the reception led us to Excelsior instead, which had terribly small rooms for 2 persons. The bathroom was really tiny,... More

This 'hotel' firstly, advertises itself as a B&B. It DOES NOT even have a restaurant. When I queried about breakfast the staff were blunt and rather rude. I then challenged the staff about their own website and they just ignored my suggestion to "perhaps update their website". I'm sure they have nice rooms like the ones shown above, but most... More

Only stayed here for one Thursday night in mid June. The room we were allocated was a double room on the second floor overlooking Argyle Square. Although the room was quite small it was adequate for our needs. The bed was very comfortable, the window could be opened, the shower was efficient, tea and coffee making facilities were available, there... More

We stayed here before, in the room MaryChain1 reviewed (which was lovely) and were pleasantly impressed. This time however we had a "box room" on the top floor....very, very small......the bed was against the wall in an alcove and there was hardly any space to move around each other and our luggage. The room was clean, with a good shower... More

Staying in Bloomsbury

Neighborhood Profile
Bloomsbury
Snuggly nestled within Central London is academic and leafy Bloomsbury, an area that boasts walking distance access to many of London's most popular attractions. It is also home to some of Britain's most celebrated museums, including the must-see British Museum. Despite an understandable popularity with students, tourists and day trippers, vast sections of Bloomsbury retain a quiet, residential feel year round and throughout the week.
