I had 3 requirements when booking a hotel in London. I wanted a central location, en-suite bathroom and breakfast. The Jesmond Hotel more than filled my requirements. From the moment I checked in until I left, I felt very welcome. It seemed like I was staying at a friend's house. The rooms are small, but I spent so little time... more

Yes. The rooms are tiny, there is no lift, there is no air conditioning and you get road noise if you have a front room. That said, I'll certainly stay here the next time I'm in London: -The price is right. -The bedrooms and the washrooms are very clean, even the common ones (I got an en-suite room but I... more

Stayed for 3 nights at the Jesmond hotel recently, and found the staff extremely friendly and helpful. Location is excellant, with easy access to the tube, and theatre districts. There are some good restaurants near by for dinner, with an excellant english breaakfast at the hotel. The rooms are very cramped, and can be niosy as the walls are quite... more

Selected this hotel from reviews on Trip Advisor and was not disappointed. Sure, the rooms were small but we were out all day so didnt matter. Had a front room and apart fromthe odd siren going by, slept like a baby for 3 nights. Evidently the beds are all new throughout and ours was very comfortable. Close to the tube... more

I stayed in this hotel in Dec. I really enjoyed my stay here. The room and the bathroom were spotless clean and big enough for a solo traveler. They even provided shower gel. Before I stayed at Jesmond, I was staying at Alhambra. The staff in Alhambra was so rude and the room wasn't nice. So after a night at... more

We were delighted to discover this hotel in central London. Fantastic location.Spotlessley clean. Excellent breakfast. In particular the staff were all very friendly and could not do enough for us. We had a quad room on the front and unlike previous comments were not bothered by noise whatsoever. The only criticism I would make is that the room was far too... more

We stayed in a quad room street level in the front of the hotel. The room had en suite bath which was small but adequate and clean. The beds( three twins and a couch) could use new bedding .Street noise was a big problem for the first two or three nights. I'd recommend a room in the back of the hotel... more

There are dozens of hotels just like this one in the same neighborhood, but we chose the Jesmond because it was on the cheaper side and had good reviews. Pros: (i) cheap (ii) good breakfast (iii) clean (iv) pretty good location for us but it depends on where you want to go and if you don't mind walking a lot.... more

The goal of our recent trip to London was to see as much as possible of the city in the short time we were there, which meant we wanted to stay in the city itself so we wouldn't waste time commuting in from outlying areas. As part of our family's travel budget cost containment strategy, we decided against staying in... more

Back at the Jesmond for my third stay. This small hotel has everything I need for a short stay in London: Clean, comfortable bed, spotless ensuite with a powerful shower and plenty of hot water, kettle for a cup of tea. My single room, number 3, looked out over the back garden and was very quiet. Tiny space---but fine for... more
