I stayed at the Jesmond for 6 nights, in 3 different rooms it was very clean, even though they were renovating part of the hotel. The staff was especially friendly and accommodating. They even loaned me an adapter plug so I could charge my phone. The breakfast was very good, and the hotel isn't far from the Goodge and Russell... More

I have stayed in lots of London hotels and for value for a short stay the Jesmond can't be beaten. Single rooms are small but clean and warm. Location is great. Walking distance from Euston or Goodge Street tube. Round the corner from a great pub, Pattiserie Valerie and the excellent Planet Organic on Torrington Street. I would rather stay... More

I stayed in the Jesmond for about 2 weeks in January of 2015 with a large group. I have traveled to other countries before and stayed in many different hotels, but the Jesmond is at the top of my list. Rooms were good sized considering that you're in the heart of London, which makes it very easy to take the... More

The rooms are small but they're clean and comfortable. The in room tea service is a great comfort and the breakfast is well prepared and plentiful. Having breakfast served in your hotel is a HUGE time/money saver. You could certainly find other places with breakfast at this price point, but Jesmond sets itself apart by virtue of its size, tidiness... More

I stayed at the Jesmond with a school group and it could not have been a better experience. The rooms are beautiful and comfortable. The water pressure in the bathroom is the best I've ever had at a hotel. The staff and owner of the hotel and extremely nice and very helpful. Glyn, the owner, has amazing knowledge of British... We found this hotel to be relatively cheaper than most London accommodations and the hot breakfast included was a good and appreciated added value for us. The room was obviously a bit dated but tidy. The bathroom was super tiny but very, very clean. The hotel is on a street parallel to a busier street with lots of shops. There... More

Great people, very good location (near a underground station: Goodge Street) and the rooms are good! Me and my sister went there on January 2014. It was an excellent choice and we enjoyed it very much!

Stayed 6 nights at The Jesmond Hotel in the lead up to Christmas 2014. Must say I was enormously impressed with this place. Its location is just great, only minutes walk from the British Museum and close to heaps of transport hubs including buses and a number of Tube lines. The rooms are small...no doubting, but they are cleaned daily... More

The hotel is like an outdated B&B. However, the place is clean, the service is friendly and helpful and overall, it is perfectly adequate for a short stay in central London. Those who want a more upmarket stay in London will have to pay the market price or stay somewhere less central. That's just the way it is. I thought... More

Staying in Bloomsbury

Neighborhood Profile
Bloomsbury
Snuggly nestled within Central London is academic and leafy Bloomsbury, an area that boasts walking distance access to many of London's most popular attractions. It is also home to some of Britain's most celebrated museums, including the must-see British Museum. Despite an understandable popularity with students, tourists and day trippers, vast sections of Bloomsbury retain a quiet, residential feel year round and throughout the week.
