Recently renovated, the Ibis London City has decent sized rooms with nice (albeit spartan) decor. I has been there three nights, two of which with the hotel fully booked. The receptionists were struggling to cope with the people, but very long lines formed. One day at 6pm I found my room not made up yet. The front desk didn't answer... More

I was a bit apprehensive when my travel agent booked us at a budget hotel but I was pleasently surprised. The room looked liked a room in a cruise ship with minimal facilities. However it was very clean and the bed was quite comfortable. To be so close to the heart of the city, ibis london city is value for... More

I loved the ideia to stay in the same neighborhood as "Jack the Ripper" used to walk. However there's nothing sinister about Aldgate East. It's an absolutely cool area and the hotel is really close to the Tube. The wi-fi was not so fast though. It's a great hotel with a great price in London. There's also a good market... More

I stayed here at the Ibis hotel for two nights. The hotel is located A couple of doors away from the Aldgate East tube station. For this reason alone I would say it is located in a perfect location personally the beds felt rather small and for mattress Although it had a topper still felt hard - my first night... More

We needed a hotel for an overnight stay so wanted something not too expensive but near Liverpool Street station and also not far from Tower Bridge. This place was a great find. Easy to get to from Liverpool Street with map from their website. Very handy to find a Tesco next door and food outlets minutes from the hotel door.... More

For anybody with a meeting in the city this is ideally located and within walking distance. This is a good modern looking and very clean hotel. The breakfast buffet was good and I had an easy and quick check in. I am glad I went for the express check out as there was a bit of a queue in the... More

The ibis London City is just around the corner from Aldgate East underground station (District and Hammersmith and City Lines). It is easily (and quickly) reached from London Liverpool Street if you are arriving on the train from Stanstead airport. It is a short walk from the Tower of London and Tower Bridge. Aldgate is a really good location -... More

This is the second time I've stayed at this Hotel and again I had a good stay. The staff are really welcoming and the location next to the Underground makes getting around London easy. If you're looking for a good value stay this hotel is worth considering

A very pleasant stay. We had never stayed in the City before, but found the location ideal with easy access to trains and buses. Walking distance to the Tower of London. We would recommend this hotel.. The hotel staff were extremely helpful in providing information on getting around.
