A very well located hotel in Bloomsbury, very near The British Museum and a 12 minute walk to Oxford Street. The room was well appointed and great bed. Had really nice food for dinner as room service and beautiful breakfast, nice courtyard overlooking a garden. Will be back!

Ideally located for trips to the British Museum. Small, but clean rooms, backed by helpful service at the front desk. The breakfast buffet exceeded my expections and the staff assisted with some dietary restrictions with ease. Recommended and would return, save that I try and explore a new area each time I return to London.

we had a lovely 2 night stay at this hotel, the rooms were comfortable and clean, the staff were attentive and polite and this was all just a stones throw from the British Museum. a short walk to any attraction the city offers or a fairly cheap taxi ride if you don't fancy walking. the only downside to the whole... The location is excellent - right next to the British Museum, walking distance to Covent Garden, Oxford Street and Soho, and close to our UK office. And Holborn in general is a lovely part of town - quiet, but central and accessible. Fair enough it is central London but the room was very small - barely enough room to walk... More

On our booking our aim was to find a hotel within the central London area that offered a middle to high standard room at a sensible rate. Believe me this wasn't easy for us to find! As a female I am somewhat fussy about where I stay. Is the bed big enough? Is there enough floor space? What about the... More

We stayed here for 2 nights and have been absolutely delighted with the hotel, the room and the service. I have read some very negative reviews of this hotel, but, we could not fault it. The room was clean, well equipped, the bed was very comfortable and there was no noise from outside at all. I found it hard to... More

I have to say, the room was clean, bathroom was modern, what else can you expect from a hotel? Stayed in a single room (room 110) and the room was more than spacious, had a tea kettle, bath tub (lovely) and very short walking distance to British museum. Stayed here for a 4 day course at the cordon bleu (would... More

We had looked forward to staying at the Clarendon having passed by many times previously on our trips to the British Museum. And this presents a plus it is very well located, just around the corner from the museum and down the street from the lovely Russell Square park. It is close to busses and a tube line, and many... Booked this hotel as part of a package for my wife's 40th,on arrival we ordered a pot of tea and a cappuccino, within a few minutes a huge pot of tea came out with just one teabag in and a coffee. We had to ask for additional teabags and didn't have the energy to tell the staff that the coffee... More

Brilliant location . Nice comfy large bed , a sofa and a little table with two chairs. We were at the back of the hotel so it was quiet. Continental breakfast was filling with cheeses, ham, tomatoes ,hard boiled eggs and all the usual cereals etc. Staff were polite and attentive and smiley . Will definitely stay again when in London... More

Neighborhood Profile
Bloomsbury
Snuggly nestled within Central London is academic and leafy Bloomsbury, an area that boasts walking distance access to many of London's most popular attractions. It is also home to some of Britain's most celebrated museums, including the must-see British Museum.
