Both my wife and I thought that the Grange Clarendon is very close indeed to being an excellent experience. There are a few little improvements that we'd like to see. These include a better TV, as ours had a tinny, kind of robotic sort of sound every time the channel was changed, and this continued for several seconds afterwards. We... More

We arrived after a very wet 10 minute walk from Euston Station to the news we had been upgraded to an Executive Suite. The room was wonderful and spacious with plenty of hanging space but a little short on drawer space. The bathroom was bright and airy with a good shower and a big bath. The step up into the... More

My girlfriend and I stayed at the Grange Clarendon Hotel between Christmas & New Year. We stayed for two nights but were only in the Hotel to sleep. We had a Superior Room on the top floor which was spacious, clean and the bed was amazing (I wanted to lug it out of there on my back when we checked... More

This place is superbly positioned and that's really what you are paying for. It's around the corner from the British Museum in the heart of Bloomsbury, with loads of really beautiful Georgian (i.e. 18th to early 19th century) houses and squares. The hotel itself had some niggles that keeps it off the top spot, and its a shame because it... More

Really lovely hotel, helpful staff, large comfy room (little kettle boils really quick). Would definitely stay here again, 5 min walk to tube, sainsbury and a lovely walk through sicilian place and a park on the way here.

This is the second time we have stayed at The Clarendon, our room was on the 3rd Floor, lovely and quiet. We took advantage of an offer which included continental breakfast with the option of upgrading to a full English. Excellent breakfast. The staff were very helpful and we even managed to check in early. We have stayed other Grange... More

We booked a room on line the day before we needed it not really having time to look around. First impression: it's one of four hotels owned by the Grange chain all in a row on Bedford Place (with a 5th across the street). There's something really nice about being in the heart of a city but on a quiet... More

I stay at this great hotel at least 4 times a year,a week at a time on business, although it is a small hotel the rooms are clean and well presented, I do not use the bar service, the restaurant is cosy, the breakfast is great, the staff are really good and friendly, I would recommend this hotel to anyone

Decent hotel, big rooms, good breakfast and a great location in London. Sister hotel allowed me to store my bags until later as well which was a nice touch. Forgot a toothbrush and they quickly sorted one for me. Lobby could look better but I'm being picky!

We found the staff helpful, the room spacious and clean (even if a bit old), and the location ideal to visit london, be it by public transport or by walking. The neighboorhood is full of restaurant, so eating nearby is easy. The only downside of our trip was that the rooms are (really) not soundproof, so it is probably better... More

Staying in Bloomsbury

Neighborhood Profile
Bloomsbury
Snuggly nestled within Central London is academic and leafy Bloomsbury, an area that boasts walking distance access to many of London's most popular attractions. It is also home to some of Britain's most celebrated museums, including the must-see British Museum. Despite an understandable popularity with students, tourists and day trippers, vast sections of Bloomsbury retain a quiet, residential feel year round and throughout the week.
