Not clean. Old, dirty and partially broken furniture. After only four days I noted I forgot a pair of trousers and one shirt. Sent a friend, they answered "Thrown away"! Never happened in any other part of the world. Incredible! Send there your worst enemies.

As others have said, nothing wrong with the location, but the apartment we were given was extremely poor for the price we paid. Firstly, we booked a double room and were given two singles pushed together with a huge gap between them. On arrival, we were told that we could be moved to "a different hotel that wasn't as nice... Ok location is good. My apartment! On the top was bleak bare dirty and I had to sleep on the settee as the mattress had previously been slept in by an elephant. Not equipped as per contract. Moved to first floor next day better but bare light bulbs in ceiling and I wouldn't use the shower ugh. All for 130... More

Right in the centre of town, the most expensive part, room was surprisingly cheap. It was spotless, cleaned daily , had all amenities required, staff very helpful. Local supermarket nearby, 3 mins walk, was ideal for food and provisions.

I stayed for one night as a lone business traveller. I had one of the top floor studio apartments which was cosy. Not a massive room but perfect for one person. Room was clean which is all I ask. Ample self catering provision. The room lacked coathangers and could have done with a comfy chair to watch TV but otherwise... More

Nothing as advertised . Dirty , run down , stinks of mould and rising damp , cob webs in cornices , old lumpy mattresses and pillows that need to be thrown away , no fan or air conditioning , smashed glass on elevator door , old furniture dumped in hallway with rubbish , peeling wall paper and rising damp in... Trying to find reasonably price accommodation in south Kensington is a tough job. Knaresborough place fits the bill if your looking for value for money. The apartment was clean although dated and showing signs of wear in places. The size of the apartment was fine for Kensington. Bejue is the norm. The beds where very firm. I would recommend ear... We (my wife, our 1.5 year old baby and I) were in the studio apartment for around 5 days. Cons We had no idea the studio was so small, prior to our booking. With our suitcases in the room, there was literally no place to walk. The landline cordless phone wasn't working - we tried doing everything we could (making... More

If I was on holiday and booked a few nights or even a week I would want my money back. It's a bit grubby and the twin studio apartment is really small. The beds are ok but it wasn't the best to sleep on. Everything needs to be updated and it's about time the owners get brand new things. Even... More

I had an absolutely awful stay at this hotel. When I arrived at my room I soon discovered that two of the three lightbulbs in the lone ceiling fixture were out. I went back to the office to alert the manager but he had closed for the night, so I had to literally walk down the street to a local... More

Staying in South Kensington

Neighborhood Profile
South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.
