Clean, warm, average hotel for the price in London. Given room on 3rd floor (no lift). There was an electrical socket on the wall that was smashed and had exposed wiring. The shower pressure was low and it took nearly 5 minutes to get anything like warm! Staff were helpful and friendly, though did not fix the socket as promised.... More

Stayed here because I needed to get to St Pancras at 5am the next day. Perfect location. Steps away from the station. Greeted warmly by Lucia the receptionist. She's s very nice lady. London rooms are small and relative to price. I already know that since this wasn't my first time in London. So I generally hope that the hotel... More

The European Hotel is only a 3 minute walk from Kings Cross/St Pancras station, and directly in front of the hotel is a small park. Although the room is tiny (but still en-suite), I only stayed one night and so it was all I needed, especially as I only paid £60. There was a kettle with different sachets - tea/coffee/sugar.... I was a bit nervous booking this hotel because of some of the reviews. But, as soon as I got there, I knew I'd made the right decision. The welcome was lovely I was able to see the room before I paid for it. Very reassuring. I had a single room with a lovely window and view over the Square.... More

This not so small budget hotel offers many advantages but if you plan to stay here, you have to keep an open mind. This is, and does not pretend to be more, a budget hotel. What it offers as a plus. - A full English breakfast (in the form of a buffet but decent enough) - The bed mattress is... More

The European Hotel was a great place to stop with more room in the rooms then what we have had in previous stops in this area. The rooms we're very clean, but a little tired. This wasn't a problem as we said. Very clean. The staff we're friendly on arrival, and helpful. This was a central hotel just across the... More

We spent 4 nights in the hotel this October. Yes, I would agree with many previous reviews - it is really old and needs refurbishing. The rooms are indeed small (we had a bed, small space on all sides to walk around it, and a tiny bathroom - although the shower stall was sufficiently big, I guess it depends on... More

The hotel is an excellent location, being a very short distance from King's Cross station. The twin room we had was very small and the bathroom was even smaller! The shower head was held up with red tape, the towels were small and a bit thin, no bath mat provided. There is not even a toilet roll holder! You barely... More

Staying in Bloomsbury

Neighborhood Profile
Bloomsbury
Snuggly nestled within Central London is academic and leafy Bloomsbury, an area that boasts walking distance access to many of London's most popular attractions. It is also home to some of Britain's most celebrated museums, including the must-see British Museum. Despite an understandable popularity with students, tourists and day trippers, vast sections of Bloomsbury retain a quiet, residential feel year round and throughout the week.
