Myself and boyfriend stayed here for 2 nights in a 4 bedroom room which was extremely small for 4 people. Luckly no one else was in our room but we still felt as if we were invading each others space. This hostel says it is a 'party' hostel but nothing was organised, even on Australia day. The showers were also... More

I stayed at the Generator London from January 7th to 10th as a single female traveler and with one exception it was a wonderful stay. I was initially very hesitant about staying in a hostel, as I have only ever stayed in hotels and rented apartments on my travels, but after much research and number crunching decided Generator was the... Having stayed in this hostel the same time last year we where singing it's praises so when we decided to stay here again this year we had high hopes. However on arrival the staff member at the desk couldn't be more rude. We had booked a private 6 bed room and a private 4 bed so for the money we... More

Okay I love all the generator chains I think they are safe and reliable, but this one irritated me.. For the price you pay as a hostel I still don't think it was up to standard. Little things like no power points by the bed so when someone's alarm went off it often woke the whole room, no shelves in... More

First time ever staying at any hostel and my experience was very pleasant. Friendly staff, decent bar prices, clean rooms and bathrooms. Very impressed!! My one little nag is that bathrooms were extremely small and theres no room to get changed with no privacy but luckily they were always empty

I stayed at generator, London from 1st to 6th Jan 2015. I was in a room with 4 beds. The room was clean. The showers and toilets were alright. The best part was the lounge and bar. The food was good and drinks were reasonably priced. The breakfast was very basic. I wouldn't recommend it. I met a nice Italian... More

This place was a lot nicer than expected with only a couple downfalls. The first being that there was no obvious way of control the air conditioner/heater in my room. I did manage to find a thermostat dial on the wall but was unsure of how to control it. When I asked the front desk how to change it they... More

Had an excellent 3 weeks in london made all the better staying at the generator! The staff where excellent, especially David, without his help, advice and terrible pool skills my holiday wouldn't have been half as good! Thank you!

Staying in Bloomsbury

Neighborhood Profile
Bloomsbury
Snuggly nestled within Central London is academic and leafy Bloomsbury, an area that boasts walking distance access to many of London's most popular attractions. It is also home to some of Britain's most celebrated museums, including the must-see British Museum. Despite an understandable popularity with students, tourists and day trippers, vast sections of Bloomsbury retain a quiet, residential feel year round and throughout the week.
