I stayed at Generator only for one night in late March and can't really find anything to complain about the hostel. I stayed in a 4-person shared dorm and although the room was fairly small, it seemed clean and the bed was comfortable. Each bed has a locker for your personal belongings too. The common areas were modern and atmosphere... More

I'm very split in my feelings towards the Generator I have to say! I stayed for 5 nights in April and overall I didn't mind it and probably would stay again if I had to but would also look into other hostels for better value, because this one was overpriced considering a few points that I've made below. On the... More

I stayed here with a couple of friends for 3 nights in a quadruple room. The location of the hostel is excellent. It's about a 10 min walk to the tube at Kings Cross and from there it's easy to get to most of the major sights in London and the airport. In the Kings Cross area itself there's a... More

Nice, clean hostel for a good price in London. Traveled with three girlfriends so we had a room for four people and it was a decent size. Showers were fine. Vibe at night was fun - the bar is a nice addition - great place to meet people and have a few drinks/dance before or after heading out for the... More

I have been staying 2 weeks at Generator, and I definitely recommend this place to everyone. There are still some points which could be improved to make this hostel memorable. For example, they have a very nice bar with a happy hour from 5 to 9 pm, offering cheap beers 2,20 pounds for a pint of Fosters...it's fair! But then,... More

I had amazing time at the Generator. My room on the 4th floor was lovely and clean, and the shower was nice & modern. As I was staying there by myself, it felt like the Premier Inn rather than a hostel. Staff has always been incredibly helpful to me and very kind. The location is ideal, just between two tubes:... Very great place for backpackers and people traveling. I was in a co-ed room but it turned out to be all male except for me. This was not comfortable and I ended up leaving. The common areas were great however. Lots of space to do work and relax. They also had a lot of social activities. Location is great--a short... More

Generator was way better than I was expecting for the price, great bar and food. Security was really friendly, discreet but visible enough to be reassuring with regular patrols meant we got plenty of sleep. Would definitely recommend for young people in London looking for a place to stay.
