Overall the Generator hostel was fantastic! They had great facilities, the interior is new, they had a movie room which was nice to have a break from site-seeing. London in general is expensive.. the location was a little far from the main area. The atmosphere was good. They had a karaoke night, a pool table and bar with some lounge... More

I stayed here with two friends at the end of January and thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Positives include the location (only a two minute walk from King's Cross Station), amenities (bathroom was always clean) and security (you have to show your room key to the guard at night to enter the building). At 30 pounds each a night, it wasn't... More

I stayed here for 2 nights and it was really fantastic. Breakfast is nice, I've read some bad comments, but I thought that it was very good. The location is a very good aspect. The piccadily line will take you almost anywhere. I can't wait to see other generator hostels!

Overall I was impressed with my stay at Generator London and had no real issues. It wasn't the cheapest hostel available but the value for money was very good. I found it to be professional, well run and it is very secure at night. The location is pretty good, a lot of restaurants and bars nearby. During the day it... More

Cost effective hostel in the perfect location! This hostel was clean and provided everything we needed for our stay in London. We found that it was a great base for our week in London, everything pretty much be walking distance and not too far from public transport if needed. Staff were friendly and helpful too!

Pro: good service, nice location, , gluten free bread for celiacs, bar/ entertainment, low prices. Con's: small rooms, have to ask reception to control heating (very hot), small bathroom and no curtain so everything gets wet.

It is a really nice hostel. The vibe is good and there a lot of people from everywhere. The wifi connection was excellent and it was really close to King's Cross, which is nice. And it was near another Undeground station. The rooms are not big enough for 4 people (that was my room) but the price is really convenient... More

I stayed here on my annual trip to London, the hostel is 8mins walk from Kings Cross Tube or 4mins from Russell Square Tube. On arrival I like that there was a doorman...it turned out he was security and on a night there were 3 men so it was very secure. There were luggage lockers (£7 for 24 hrs) which... More

This is by far the biggest hostel i have ever been in. When i first got there the whole place was buzzing with teenagers and twenty somethings. Staying in Bloomsbury

Neighborhood Profile
Bloomsbury
Snuggly nestled within Central London is academic and leafy Bloomsbury, an area that boasts walking distance access to many of London's most popular attractions. It is also home to some of Britain's most celebrated museums, including the must-see British Museum. Despite an understandable popularity with students, tourists and day trippers, vast sections of Bloomsbury retain a quiet, residential feel year round and throughout the week.
