Generator is the best hostel in London ( 100% sure ). The location is just PERFECT, the staff? They're perfect ( young people, motivated, willing to help ya ), what about the pub inside? That's AMAZING! Everyday you have something different. The rooms are quite good, the baths as well. If you wanna meet other people, the atmosphere will definitely... More

I was really surprised by the hostel. Clean, comfortable and modern. I stayed in a mixed dorm of 8 people, the beds were big and clean, there was one drawer could be closed with a padlock. Excellent public areas, comfortable and with many wall socket.

The location of this hostel is great, the rooms are clean and the beds comfy. The hostel feels very impersonal. There is ridiculous security and the security guards are quite rude. There is a cafe but it closes at 11 and after that there is nowhere to make or get a cup of coffee/tea.

Very inefficient staff: they mixed up our bookings so we had to change rooms. However, we could only check into the new room in the afternoon so they made us pay for a locker to leave our luggage that day even though it was their fault. The lockers to leave you luggage were expensive in general as well (6 pounds... More

We stayed in a 10 bed dorm and it was massive! Lots of space for luggage and a locker to store personal belongings. Having stayed at 3 other Generators around Europe, this one is most in need of an update. There are no plugs or lights in beds. There are also no mirrors in the rooms and in the bathrooms... More

We arrived in the end of January for only two days, but this hostel was really great! Is the same as in the pictures in internet and provides a lot of amenities and free common areas. The staff is pleased and the rooms are clean and modern, above all is located in a perfect area: King's Kross.. As many of... More

Great location, clean and well organised!! Arrived late at night but with great ease. Loved that there is a security team felt very safe! I stayed in a 4 bed dorm, was quite hot and stuffy but was only for one night. You feel like you're in a hotel! Very nice as a budget traveller!

Stayed here on my own in a mixed 8 people dorm in October. The bed was clean, and the staff was friendly. It actually ended up being all girls in the room, which was nice. There is a quite big lockable space under the beds. It wouldn't fit my massive suitcase, but I could've easily unpacked it and fit everything... More

I stayed at the Generator London with a friend in a private twin room with a shared bathroom. From the moment we arrived we were greeted with a smile and made felt comfortable. Everything you want after a 25 hour flight! The facilities were great, had a good bar and cafe for food. Breakfast was average, bread rolls and some... More

Staying in Bloomsbury

Neighborhood Profile
Bloomsbury
Snuggly nestled within Central London is academic and leafy Bloomsbury, an area that boasts walking distance access to many of London's most popular attractions. It is also home to some of Britain's most celebrated museums, including the must-see British Museum. Despite an understandable popularity with students, tourists and day trippers, vast sections of Bloomsbury retain a quiet, residential feel year round and throughout the week.
