Nice little hotel in Bloomsbury, very close to Goodge Street tube stop (2 blocks). We stayed in a small room in the basement that was actually very nice....called the Captains cabin, very nautical. Comfortable bed, good breakfast, nice refrigerator and microwave in room. The place is very clean and has a lovely outdoor back patio/garden area with seats. My only... More

I have stayed on Gower St. many times over 21 years, but this was my first time to stay at Regency House. I was pleasantly pleased with all of our rooms, and we particularly enjoyed the garden area outside complete with coffee cart and cookies. It was the perfect place to gather in the morning before our tour and unwind... More

We stayed at the regency hotel for one night, it was very easy to get to oxford street for shopping like a ten min walk. The hotel was nice and clean very comfortable bed and nice bedding, the staff were all really friendly and helpful we had a full English breakfast which was also very nice. Would definitely stay again... More

The room was very clean, small, but great for our needs. The fridge freezer and microwave were a great bonus. The garden area was lovely, especially with the hot drink trolley! Breakfast was lovely except for the cheap sausages.

Stayed in the basement room for 1 night. Staff were very friendly, the room was small but clean and had everything you could need, tea making facilities, cutlery, plates, microwave, nice fluffy towels, free wifi and a large TV. Breakfast was very good. It was located about 20 minutes walk from the theatres so was great for our needs.

I've stayed in several of the many small hotels carved out of the old buildings lining Gower Street, and the Regency is the one I tend to go back to because it is so well maintained while still having a reasonable rate. This year my small, single room featured a double bed, newly redone bathroom with shiny fixtures and tile... More

Very run down the hotel needs some money spent on it..... The absolute worst part for me was the smell in the drain when using the basin! It was putrid! The staff hardly speak English! Breakfast was good enough. Definitely won't be going back EVER!

The room was small, but clean and the bathroom was nice, however, there is nothing else favourable about this hotel. Our room was described as a 'superior room' on the lower ground floor. The radiator was on high all night, the room was like a sauna and we had no heat controller. There is a large air conditioning unit in... More

Staying in Bloomsbury

Neighborhood Profile
Bloomsbury
Snuggly nestled within Central London is academic and leafy Bloomsbury, an area that boasts walking distance access to many of London's most popular attractions. It is also home to some of Britain's most celebrated museums, including the must-see British Museum. Despite an understandable popularity with students, tourists and day trippers, vast sections of Bloomsbury retain a quiet, residential feel year round and throughout the week.
