This is a very nice hotel walking distance from the British Museum. The breakfast was great - lots of choices and prompt table service in an intimate setting. Beds were soft, room was quiet (we had the executive room in the basement) and the internet was good. In addition to being an easy walk to the British Museum, the hotel... More

Just back from London and am thinking that this place was one of the better 'budget' hotel I have stayed in London. We opted here because we needed to visit UCL and it was a short walk ( 5 mins ) away. I felt safe walking around the hotel at night, with pedestrians mostly students in a youngish crowd. I... More

Stayed 5 nights in one of the larger rooms with 2 singles & 1 double bed on ground floor facing Gower Street (3 adults). Well appointed spacious room with fridge, air-con, microwave, tea/ coffee making facilities (rare in London), opening windows & full English breakfast included (need to walk down a flight of narrow stairs to dining room). Quiet area... More

The staff were excellent. The room was lovely comfortable and spacious, also had fridge and microwave just in case. Furnishings lovely including bathroom The only negatives were sink difficult to brush teeth in as under shelf. The cabin bed was beautiful but not pleasant to get in and out of due to high wooden sides. However extremely comfortable once in.... More

We stayed one night and found the facilities, cleanliness, location etc were very good value. Only drawback was very tiny bathroom but OK for one night. Will definitely try and stay here again on next visit to London. Able to walk from St Pancras/Kings Cross if light luggage. Close to facilities on Russell Square and Tottenham Ct Road.

I booked this hotel for me and my Mum for a overnight stay. It was a 15 minute walk from Euston Station and a 20 minute walk from Oxford Street. We purchased a subway pass and in reality we didn't even need it, and it actually took us longer to get on and off the tube. In that sense this... More

For the money this is a charming small hotel. Convenient for tube stations and attractions. Although rooms are small they are adequate enough (Comfy bed and pillows). The room we had only had a bathroom with shower only , very snug but adequate. Breakfast was excellent , freshly cooked to order and with plenty of choice. Lovely little outdoor area... More

Myself and my wife stayed at the Regency for our weekend break in London. Such a great place. Friendly staff, well run and they made you feel like home. Had a great weekend taking in the sights of London and was a great place to make our base camp. Will definitely be back:)

Finding a reasonably priced and decent hotel in London is always a challenge - The regency was ok. It's position is in walking distance to the bottom end of Oxford Street, Covent garden, etc, and it is close to Goodge st and Kings Cross tube stations. The rooms are small and a little grubby, but more than suitable for somewhere... More

I booked here at very short notice and was intrigued by how inexpensive it seemed by London standards. Very pleasant and surprisingly quiet given busy location. The room had plenty of style and was comfortable enough for two - a slightly cramped en-suite (and no shaver point please note so take an adaptor) but perfectly adequate besides. Friendly, helpful staff... More

Staying in Bloomsbury

Neighborhood Profile
Bloomsbury
Snuggly nestled within Central London is academic and leafy Bloomsbury, an area that boasts walking distance access to many of London's most popular attractions. It is also home to some of Britain's most celebrated museums, including the must-see British Museum. Despite an understandable popularity with students, tourists and day trippers, vast sections of Bloomsbury retain a quiet, residential feel year round and throughout the week.
