Nice and clean place. Pity there is no reception. The breakfast is ok, but the coffee was bad. The place is perfectly located near Paddington. It's certainly a good and calm hotel for a short stay. The hotel was very clean. If you are a fan of big bathrooms, dont book this hotel. If it doesnt matter, this is a... More

I stayed in a double room on the first floor, with its windows facing the court. The whole place was clean and comfortable. And thanks to the genuine hospitality and good advise given by the manager David and the mangeress Jan, I felt all the time as if I had been at my own home, though my home is located... More

The thing that sets bumps this place from average to very good is the staff. They were extremely helpful (even letting us leave our large luggage for safe keeping after we'd checked out so we could have a final day exploring). The breakfast was substantial and certainly set us up well for the day. The room we had was very... More

This hotel is one of those conversions of a Victorian house with stucco facade and portico, but several things about it set it apart. The management and staff were most helpful and kind. The hotel is set back from the road with a service road between it and the traffic. It is only one house, with no front desk (you... More

We had two three-person rooms, one in the new part on the ground floor (1B) and another in the old part one floor up (room 3). The bathroom and electricity arrangements are much better in the new part, as expected. It is very close to Paddington, Kensington and Oxford street, taxis are easy to come by, but the proximity of... More

a small cute hotel. Very good reach brakefast. Wi-Fi worked most of the time. a clean place with hot waters in the shower. Close to paddington station just a 5 minutes walk. Just a great place. Only problem was that there just weren't enough AC plugs in the room. We personally have lived on the 4th floor without an elevator... More

I've stayed in this area of Paddington numerous times over the last couple of years but never at the Albro House before. It's in a prime location (right next to Paddington station and also a very short walk to the beautiful Hyde Park) but it seems to be pricing itself out of the market. The other hotels in Paddington I... More

This must be the worse hotel I have ever stopped in, the only good thing is the position, broken bed, when complained, the owner said you can't expect it to be as comfy as your own bed, struggled to get a shower in warm water, never mind hot, overly charged at £115 a night, and they wanted £135,

Dear Steve A. First of all thank you very much for taking the time to write a review about my hotel. Unfortunately I never met you as I was abroad for the whole of September and frankly I am very much surprised of your comments about my hotel. We recently (in July 2015) bought brand new beds(all orthopaedic) of the highest... We stayed here in september. This place is run down! Need total refurbishment! Our room was very smelly ( from the drain ). The cleanliness of the room was terribble. The bathroom was plenty of mold in the shower and on the wall. Cleaning staff were not professional. They don't know how to clean the room! The breakfast picture on... More

We stayed here for 3 nights the hotel is approximately 4 minutes walk from Paddington station, the room was small, compact and suited our needs. A decent shower and comfy bed ideal for our sight seeing trip. Breakfast good consisted of either a continental or full English. Staff very friendly and can't do enough for you. Will visit again.........
